Today I asked my body what she needed,
Which is a big deal
Considering my journey of
Not Really Asking That Much.

I thought she might need more water.
Or protein.
Or greens.
Or yoga.
Or supplements.
Or movement.

But as I stood in the shower
Reflecting on her stretch marks,
Her roundness where I would like flatness,
Her softness where I would like firmness,
All those conditioned wishes
That form a bundle of
Never-Quite-Right-Ness,
She whispered very gently:

Could you just love me like this?

This! There’s really no other way around.

If you wish to be fundamentally successful in life, this means devotion to your life purpose, goals and values. If your partner doesn’t support you, or lacks awareness or devotion in your shared vision and mission.. you might be better off alone.

If you have a partner who is not equally devoted or is not willing to own the qualities that are needed to manifest the dream, this unequal partnership will also block you from building your life purpose. It blurs your alignment. If you are on your own in your relationship and your partner doesn’t actually and fully have your back, wake the f* up and know your worth. If your partner lacks full commitment, acts wishy-washy and denies it when you point it out, then realize that this is where you are signing up for. Take off your blinders. Make sure you truly understand each other. A truly worthwhile relationship takes 2. It takes 2 to tango 💃🏻

Keep talking and share your dreams and vision and make sure you are aligned together. Make sure you are both willing to do the work.

Hard work and commitment pays off.
Alone or within an equally devoted relationship.

Commit only to a relationship that honors you both at your mutual deepest level.

I am becoming the woman I've wanted,
grey at the temples,
soft body, delighted,
cracked up by life
with a laugh that's known bitter
but, past it, got better,
knows she's a survivor--
that whatever comes,
she can outlast it.
I am becoming a deep
weathered basket.

I am becoming the woman I've longed for,
the motherly lover
with arms strong and tender,
the growing up daughter
who blushes surprises.
I am becoming full moons
and sunrises.

I find her becoming,
this woman I've wanted,
who knows she'll encompass,
who knows she's sufficient,
knows where she's going
and travels with passion.
Who remembers she's precious,
but knows she's not scarce--
who knows she is plenty,
plenty to share.
