It’s that time of year again! We love our Spanish Moss but it causes quit a bit of mess. Screens cleaned! House bleached! Gutters cleaned! And house put back together after borrowing a bunch of stuff to stage my Lake Placid Listing. Check out the before and afters! Woohoo!

It’s my favorite time of the year at the lake! The weather is amazing! Our bottlebrush tree is blooming like crazy this year and the orchids are starting to bloom!! ❤️ I hear the fishing pretty good too! LOL

I am just so shocked to hear this news for so many reasons. For one, it is only .8 miles from our lake houses. POINT 8 miles! It is on Bob’s walking route at the lake. And because I loved the Twin Palms so much that it was my dream to own it one day. It was owned by a woman named Helen. She was a 92 year old spitfire that only stood about 5 foot nothing and worked on the property every day. The last time I saw her, she was walking out the door of the little bar and I chased her down. I hard heard that she had sold the property and I wanted to confirm. In her straight to the point gruff voice she said, “Yep. You heard right. You should have told me you wanted to buy it. I wanted to sell to a local but no body wanted it”. 💔 I was heartbroken because at that point I realized that had I approached her sooner she probably would have worked out something with me if I had only asked. (Her and her son continued to work the property after it was sold.) A few months later Helen was gone. She was killed on her golf cart out in front of her bar while crossing the road. 💔 Now it is gone! This would have crushed Helen! Or maybe the new owner pi**ed her off! Helen was pretty feisty. LOL Luckily only one person was injured and no one was killed. I just can’t believe it!!
