Battle of the Onion Burger… yea that’s a real thing in OKC… Theres even an “Onion Burger Trail”. The onion burger was a depression era invention where onion was added to the burgers as a kind of filler.

I ate at arguably the top 3 onion burger joints;

SIDS Diner in Reno Ok… supposedly the originator of the Onion Burger

Tuckers which has several locations in OKC

Sun Cattle Company in OKC which Mike Rowe said was the best burger her ever had.

If I’m ranking Onion Burgers only I would say Sid’s is still the King. It’s also a cool location off of a once thriving Route 66 with milkshakes and almost depression era pricing …lol

Sun Cattle was a close second because although I got the burger how it was supposed to be served with speciL sauce and all the eg, .the meat was excellent

And finally Tuckers was a decent burger, it felt mass produced and just wasn’t S memorable a the other two.

With all that being said, I would still eat at one of these places again when I was craving a burger !
