❄️ Youth Snowmobile Safety Courses held in Old Forge & Inlet 🛷
Planning to hit the trails this winter? Make sure your young snowmobilers are ready for a safe season! There are three Youth Snowmobile Safety Courses scheduled in the Old Forge/Inlet area this season.

🛷 Why is snowmobile safety certification important?
o Ages 10–13: A safety certificate is required to ride with adult supervision. Without a certificate, riding is limited to property owned or leased by a parent or guardian.
o Ages 14–17: A safety certificate is required to ride without adult supervision. Without a certificate, adult supervision is required.
🌎 Already have a safety certificate from another state? New York recognizes current snowmobile safety certificates issued by other states.

Get your 2026–2027 Town of Webb & Inlet Snowmobile Trail Permit at the preseason price of $80 per snowmobile through November 15th! After November 15th, the price increases to $100.

Ordering online is the quickest and easiest way to get your permit started. Visit SnowmobileOldForgeNY.com and choose whether you’d like your permit mailed or held for pickup.

💵 Want to pay by check? No problem! Place your order online, select the Pay in Person option, and mail your check to us. To receive the $80 preseason price, mailed payments must be postmarked by November 15th.

🛷 Don’t have your VIN yet? You can still take advantage of the preseason price! Enter VIN PENDING in the VIN field when ordering, then provide your VIN to us when you get it.

Here’s the fourth and final installment in our bridge picture series! 🌉🍂

Well, folks, peak has come and gone, but you know what? Even past peak ain’t bad! There’s still plenty of beauty in those muted autumn colors, the changing light, and the peace that settles over the Adirondacks as we head toward winter. ❤️

If you’ve been meaning to take a ride on the McCauley Mountain Scenic Chairlift, this is your LAST weekend! The chairlift runs through Columbus Day, Monday, October 12, so this is your final chance to enjoy those beautiful mountain views from above for the season. 🍁

Fall may be winding down, but there’s still time to get out here, take a deep breath of that Adirondack air, and enjoy the cozy season while it lasts. 😊

The Columbus Day holiday means a small change to the Town of Webb garbage & recycling schedule next week! 🚛♻️

📅 Tuesday, October 13 ➡️ Picked up Wednesday, October 14
📅 Thursday, October 15 & Friday, October 16 ➡️ No change
♻️ TRANSFER STATION HOURS
The Transfer Station will have new hours:
❄️ WINTER HOURS BEGIN OCTOBER 14!
Starting Wednesday, October 14, the Transfer Station will be on its off-season schedule:
🗓️ Wednesday: 8 AM–12 PM & 1–4 PM
🗓️ Sunday: 8 AM–12 PM
🚫 Closed: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday
🪟 A QUICK REMINDER:
Everyone using the Transfer Station must have a Town of Webb window cling, OR each bag of garbage/recycling must have a Town of Webb sticker.
🏷️ Stickers are $2 each and are available at the Town of Webb Information Center or Town Clerk’s Office.

That was a GREAT FALL SEASON at McCauley Mountain! A smooth 13min ride on the triple chairlift to the summit, views over the Fulton Chain of Lakes all the way to Whiteface Mt, Mount Marcy, and the high peaks region around Lake Placid. More than 30miles of bIking trails. Disc Golf top to bottom. McCauley is an iconic family recreation center.

Holy cow, folks… it’s happening! 🎉📬 The first batch of 2026–2027 Town of Webb & Inlet Snowmobile Trail Permits has officially been mailed!

We made our list and checked it twice… then twice more, just to be sure. 😉 Our elves have been busy behind the scenes getting orders processed, permits packed up, and ready to head your way. 🧝‍♀️🧝‍♂️

If yours isn’t in this first batch, don’t worry! We’re still working through orders, and more permits will be making their way to mailboxes soon. 📬❄️

🍂 Fall Watch 2026 — Week Two! 🍂

Here’s our second Fall Watch photo of the season! We take the picture from the same spot each week so you can watch the colors change and see fall unfold right before your eyes.

And WOW… the color is really starting to show off! 🍁 The Adirondacks are looking beautiful right now, and if you’ve been thinking about coming up to see the leaves, this weekend would be a pretty great time to do it.

Crisp, clear weather, beautiful fall color and the Adirondacks doing what they do best. We’ll see you up here! 🍂

Where does the real fun start? Where the rubber meets the trails! Are you ready for the Adirondack MTB Festival Old Forge NY, happening at McCauley Mountain Ski & Recreation Area? AFTA has so much fun packed into this weekend's festival with guided rides, fun events, swag and retail goods, more riding, music, food and refreshments, more riding, bonfires, and... wait for it... new trails! AFTA's own Eli Gleasman, nationally renowned trail builder, recently completed a masterpiece on Little Moose Mountain, part of the McCauley trail network.
Eric Adsit of Adsit Media Works joined Eli and friends for an inaugural ride and photographed the trail's baptism by wheels.
Words can't adequately describe this adventure, so get to McCauley Mt. and live it. Rides are launching this afternoon, and tomorrow (Saturday) is the big day of unlimited fun for all ability and ambition levels, including kids.
Remember, McCauley Mt. has the best fall views, and the scenic chairlift is operating all weekend. Try the top-to-bottom disc golf course from McCauley's summit; it's free with a lift ticket, and free frisbee discs are available at the ticket office.
