My return to where it all started — Bardnersville Estate — after 30 years, to give back to my community, has been the true highlight of my visit to Liberia.
I was welcomed with songs from enthusiastic young kids, full of life and hope. Watching them play basketball on the very courts I once played on was overwhelming. Those courts shaped me, and seeing a new generation chasing dreams there reminded me why this journey matters so much.
This moment perfectly reflects the heart of LibFest — youth empowerment, mentorship, and creating real opportunities. Through LibFest, we are committed to inspiring young people, connecting them with mentors, and opening doors through strategic partnerships in sports, education, culture, and business.
Our goal is to use LibFest events as platforms where talent is discovered, guidance is given, and pathways are created — whether through basketball, music, entrepreneurship, or cultural exchange.
It was emotional because it was bigger than nostalgia. It was about purpose, legacy, and ensuring the next generation has more opportunities than we did. This is what giving back truly means. 🇱🇷🏀❤️
