🚆 Rail travel is having a moment—and I completely understand why! Ricky has such fond memories of riding a train with his family. He really wants us to experience it, so we have been watching videos of a variety of rail itineraries.

There’s something special about taking a trip where the journey is part of the adventure. These two rail itineraries caught my attention because they offer more than just a way to get from one city to another—they turn the train ride into part of the vacation. ❤️

🎷 Birmingham to New Orleans
3 nights with a jazz brunch at The Court of Two Sisters, a city and cemetery tour, and a swamp & bayou excursion—all for around $500 per person in September.

🍽️ Atlanta to Philadelphia
A 5-night adventure with 2 nights in a sleeper car aboard the Crescent, 3 hotel nights, and a small-group food tour in Philadelphia. Around $900 per person for November 6–11.

One of the biggest mistakes I see with rail travel is thinking of the train as simply transportation. When you plan it right, the journey becomes part of the vacation—and that’s where the experience really comes to life. 🚆✨
