Our Bushwhackers and Sunset cruise is still in full swing!! Tonight we honored Sher Hadfield, from Alaska, who has cruised with us for the last 3 years. Back in her slip!
As soon as the winds died down this morning, and the sun was about to come up, I pulled up anchor and headed back to the Marina. We certainly dodged the bullet with this storm. Thank all of you for your prayers and for checking on me! It really made a difference and helped to pass the time. Happy to report there was no damage sustained to the tiki boat. After a couple days of cleaning up, we will be back in business.  It’s now time for a hot cup of coffee and a long nap.

Well, we almost made it through hurricane season without a hurricane, not to mention a direct hit. But here we are waiting for a storm whose name we can’t pronounce. So we are now implementing our hurricane plan. First of all thank you to those of you that have reached out. I really appreciate the offers. Everyone was so kind! But as for me and the tiki boat, we are tucked away up in Ingram Bayou, behind a tree line and will take advantage of a wind shadow to minimize the direct winds on the boat.  I expect most of the wind to begin first thing tomorrow morning and continue to build throughout the day. Because of that, I decided to get out here a little early today to get the boat secured in an ideal spot. As of now, landfall is set for about 6 PM tomorrow.

We were treated to quite a show by our backwater friends. Even Chopper popped up to say hi! Chopper was hit by a boat several years ago and part of his dorsal fin was cut off. We see him on our cruises weekly.

Who’s ready for a little BS in your life? The right kind of BS, that is! Our Bushwackers & Sunset cruise is a perfect way to end the day. On our 2 hour cruise we will make our first stop at the FloraBama Yacht Club, where you’re free to hop off the boat and grab your first bushwacker. Then, while enjoying your drink, we will cruise down Old River, checking out the beautiful homes on Ono Island, continuing through the islands of Orange Beach enjoying all the beauty this area has to offer! Our next stop will be Avenue Pub, where you are again free to hop off the boat and grab a bushwacker! Next, off to find the perfect spot to drop anchor and watch a beautiful sunset over the skyline of Orange Beach!! Cost $70 per person +tax. 6 passenger max. We DO NOT provide the alcohol! BYOB welcomed. This trip is offered Monday through Thursday only. Call 251-253-2430 to reserve your spot.
