✨Disney Cruise Line: The Bahamas Barrier Reef at Castaway Cay✨

Did you know?

The Andros Barrier Reef in the Bahamas is the third-largest barrier reef in the world and the second-largest in the western North Atlantic.

This reef is home to a wide variety of marine life, with over 164 specifies of fish and coral, making it one of the most popular locations in the country for divers and snorkelers!

Castaway Cay doesn't have a large part of the reef, but it does have a portion of it and while many cruise passengers were snorkeling in the lagoon the reef helps protect, we got a close up look at the reef during the glass bottom boat excursion!

🎉They are so popular that the ship's passengers and crew walk around all morning announcing "It's churro waffle day!".

🤫Here's the secret, they're not always available. They'll pop up at the breakfast buffet at least one day during your sailing. Don't worry though, the regular Mickey waffles are a daily item!

🛳️The primary promenade is on deck 4 with stairs on the port and starboard side to deck 5 and deck 6 which, ✨for the very first time✨onboard a Disney cruise ship, allows guests to walk out to the bow of the ship where they can have their own "I'm the King of the World" moment along with an amazing view of the bridge. Be sure to wave to the officers on the bridge and they'll wave back!

📸Think of the amazing family photo opportunities!

⭐️ Keep in mind the bow may be closed during inclement weather, at night, and during the firework show. Just keep checking back!

✨The Disney Wish: Breakfast Options✨

Mickey waffles, anyone?

Breakfast is typically served in 1923 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. This sit-down meal features typical breakfast foods such as yogurt, eggs, pancakes, and waffles. The menu will be on your Navigator App. The restaurant makes for a a quiet and relaxed start to the day.

Marceline Market is open a little later, until 10:45 a.m. This is a buffet, so expect crowds and noise, but there are breakfast options galore to make the entire family happy.

If you're looking for a lighter breakfast, you can order from room service. Room service is included in your cruise fare and is available 24 hours per day (unlike many other cruise lines). Simply make your selection, pick a delivery time (the latest is 9:30 a.m.), and hang the card outside your door the evening before. Decided on room service in the morning? See the menu on your Navigator App and phone your order in! It can’t get more convenient than that!
