Action packed late summer trip today!

Saturday’s sold out 10 angler Split Charter/Open Boat first enjoyed a good Striped Bass & Bluefish bite. Few too big to 36”, several too small and 9 just right made the slot. Around 25 Blues.

Next Sea Bass fishing was constant rod bending action, many double headers, many shorts but culled 45-50 good ones and a side of nice Scup.

Fun day!

Solid Fluke bite this Friday morning for the BG Club trip! Bite was fast until the tide let go with lots of 4-5 pounders in the mix. Picked after that until it was time to head for the barn.

Tom R led the way with 6 keepers, Jerry had 4 keepers, Mike D limited with 3 good ones. 12 guys put 25 keepers 19.5” to 5.5 pounds and a side of Sea Bass. Dropped several nice ones today too. Not a bad day at all! Thank you Jordan and the gang. Fun trip.

Miquel’s 25 angler charter absolutely hammered the Scup! Jumbos! One drop shop, few hours, full boat limit 800+ beauties packed for the ride home. Dozen Triggerfish and a few Sea Bass made the grade. Great day! Thanks Miquel!

Friday Ocean Fluking and a 🔥 Porgy bite

Tuesday’s 19 angler Split/Open Ocean trip picked and picked through shorts to scrape a catch together in slow drift conditions. Fluke to 7+ pounds but was a slow pick. Just 15 keeper Fluke on the day plus Sea Bass.

Wednesday’s 14 angler charter for the BGFC started out good then settled in to tough conditions and a soft bite. Picked and picked through shorts for a dozen keepers to 5.75 pounds. Side of sea bass. Grindy grindy.

Thursday’s 19 angler half day bottom charter for Chris P and family beat up on jumbo Sea Bass to 3.5 pounds icing a limit of 64 beauties and around 50 big Porgies. Lots of fun, the kids were pumped!

Friday’s 18 angler Open/Split Ocean trip started ok as well then became a grind. Some did well. Ian had his limit and put a beautiful 29” 9+ pounder on the deck. Anne had one close to 6 pounds and a couple keepers for her efforts. Again tough day with the quantity of keepers . Lots of shorts. Plus Sea Bass. Congrats Ian great fish!

Saturday’s 17 angler Ocean charter for the Great Gun/Moriches Anglers Club started hot! 🔥 John B limited on the first drift with all 4-5 pounders. Unfortunately we lost the tide and drift and got all dogged up with sharks. Picked away at shorts, some keepers and a good amount of Sea Baas for a while then finished with a few good drifts at the end. Improved day with over 20 keeper Fluke hitting the deck to nearly 6 pounds. Fun day as always with the gang from Great Gun thank you guys!

Update time!

Little “Brooklyn” just passed 8 months old and besides training hard she has had loads of fun time with her big sister Janis…

For those who missed it, “Brooklyn” is an America's VetDogs pup we sponsored and named. She is doing great under the guidance of her incredible puppy raisers Sierra & Alex Brooklyn C573 🗽. Thank you for all the updates and great pictures!

Nice day for Monday’s anglers. Beautiful weather and rods bent all trip.

Boat limit of Sea bass, lots of big Scup, and around 15 mixed size Blues hit the deck. Fun trip thanks guys!

Good last couple of days fishing in not so good weather…

Saturday, Bill D’s 15 anglers fought fast drift conditions but put a good catch of ocean flatties together. Bill led the way with 5 keepers, Henry bucktailed his limit, Pete & Jimmy had good days but Georgie put the pool 5.75 pounder on the deck to complete his limit. 32 keeper Fluke plus some nice Sea Bass on the day. Fun day as always with a great group. Thanks Billy!

Sunday, Don K’s 11 anglers had a blast despite a persistent east wind and rain at times. The bottom fishing was good with 24 Sea Bass to 18.5” going home and a drop and stick big Porgy bite with 130 hitting the deck. After that finished up with Bluefish. The Striped Bass eluded us today. Lots of action though. Thank you Don & friends great fishing with you!
