❤️ A Day on Oahu's North Shore

Throwing it back to exploring Haleiwa and the North Shore of Oahu! 🌺🌊

This is one of those areas of Hawaii that I absolutely love because you can spend the day exploring without needing some huge itinerary.

🍧 Grab shave ice at Matsumoto.
🛍️ Walk around Haleiwa and browse the little shops.
🏖️ Spend some time at the beach.
🌊 Drive along the North Shore and stop whenever somewhere catches your attention.
🍽️ Find somewhere local to eat and just enjoy the slower pace of this side of the island.

And here's a little fun fact... my paddleboard actually came home from Haleiwa with me! 😂 I bought it while we were there, and that trip was where my paddleboarding adventures first started. I'll have to save THAT story for another Throwback Thursday. 🏄🏽‍♀️❤️

Haleiwa is one of those places I'd happily return to every time I'm on Oahu. There's just something about the North Shore that feels completely different from spending your entire vacation around Waikiki.

I've realized my perfect vacation day has a little bit of everything. 😂

☕ Start with coffee somewhere local.
🥾 Spend the morning exploring, hiking, sightseeing, or doing something adventurous.
🍽️ Find somewhere good to eat that we haven't tried before.
📍 Wander around without necessarily having somewhere we HAVE to be.
🏖️ Slow down for a little while.
🌅 And end the day somewhere with a beautiful view.

🏖️ I love a good pool day, but I don't think I could spend my entire vacation at the resort.

📍 I want to SEE where I traveled.
🍴 I want to eat the food.
🛍️ Visit the little shops.
🏛️ Learn something about the destination.
🥾 Get outside and explore.
✨ Find the hidden gems.
❤️ And come home feeling like we actually experienced the place.
