🚢 DISNEY CRUISE LINE SHIP SERIES | 1/7

Disney Magic

The Disney Magic was the ship that started Disney Cruise Line, debuting in 1998. She’s the smallest ship in the fleet and has the classic nautical look that set the tone for Disney Cruise Line. The Magic’s Art Deco-inspired atrium features Helmsman Mickey, and the ship has a more traditional Disney Cruise Line feel compared with the newer ships.

One of the biggest things that sets the Magic apart is AquaDunk, the drop slide that sends you over the side of the ship before dropping you toward the water. Rapunzel’s Royal Table is another Magic-specific experience, along with Tangled: The Musical.
The Magic may be the oldest ship in the fleet, but she continues to offer itineraries you won’t find on every other ship, which is why I always recommend looking at the actual itinerary before ruling her out based on age alone.

This is 1/7 in our Disney Cruise Line ship series. Now you have a complete look at all 7 ships, from the Magic through the Destiny.
Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 sailings are now opening for Castaway Club members based on membership level. Check the booking schedule in the slides so you know when you can book. If you have a specific sailing you want, this is the time to be ready — some of these itineraries are already booking quickly.

If you want help comparing the ships, itineraries and stateroom options, that’s exactly what we do. We can help you figure out which Disney cruise makes the most sense for your family and handle the planning with you.

Disney Wonder

The Disney Wonder debuted in 1999 and was Disney Cruise Line’s second ship. She’s smaller than the newer ships, but that’s actually part of what many guests love about her. The layout is easier to get around, and the ship has a more intimate feel. The Wonder’s theming leans heavily into classic nautical design, with Ariel in the atrium and details inspired by the sea throughout the ship.

The Wonder is the only restaurant in the Disney fleet with a full Princess and the Frog-themed dining experience, complete with New Orleans-inspired food and live music. The Wonder also has Frozen, A Musical Spectacular, Marvel Super Hero Academy, Andy’s Room and Twist ’n’ Spout. She’s also the ship you’ll see most often on Disney’s Alaska itineraries, which makes her an especially important option if an Alaska cruise is on your list.

This is 2/7 in our Disney Cruise Line ship series. Check out all 7 ships to compare the fleet.

Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries are now opening to Castaway Club members by membership level. Check the schedule in the slides to see when you’re eligible to book. Some of these sailings are already filling quickly, so don’t wait until general booking if you already know you want one.

🚢 DISNEY CRUISE LINE SHIP SERIES | 3/7

Disney Dream

The Disney Dream debuted in 2011 and was the first of Disney Cruise Line’s larger Dream-class ships. She has an Art Deco-inspired design that carries through the Grand Hall, restaurants, lounges and staterooms. The Dream is also home to the AquaDuck, which was Disney Cruise Line’s first water coaster when the ship debuted.

The ship is packed with fun details, including “The District” (an adults-only area), “Pink,” a wine and champagne bar inspired by the inside of a champagne bottle; and kids’ clubs featuring both Marvel Super Hero Academy and the Star Wars: Millennium Falcon experience.

The Dream also has Beauty and the Beast as its signature Broadway-style stage production and Vanellope’s Sweets & Treats for anyone who needs a Wreck-It Ralph-themed sugar stop.

This is 3/7 in our Disney Cruise Line ship series. Check out all 7 ships as you compare your options.

Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 sailings are now opening for eligible Castaway Club members. The slides include the booking schedule so you can see when you’re eligible. Some of these itineraries are very desirable, so if you have a specific sailing in mind, I’d start narrowing down your options now.

🚢 DISNEY CRUISE LINE SHIP SERIES | 4/7

Disney Fantasy

The Disney Fantasy debuted in 2012 and is one of the ships that really established the style of the larger Disney Cruise Line ships. She was refurbished in 2025, bringing some updates while keeping many of the things guests have loved about the ship for years. The Fantasy has an Art Nouveau-inspired Grand Hall with Mademoiselle Minnie at the center.

Her adults-only entertainment district, Europa, is one of the ship’s most recognizable areas, with spaces like Skyline, The Tube and La Piazza. For families, the Fantasy has the AquaDuck, Star Wars: Command Post, Marvel Super Hero Academy and Andy’s Room.

Entertainment is another strong point, with Aladdin, Frozen, A Musical Spectacular and Disney’s Believe among the main stage offerings. She’s a great example of the point in the Disney fleet where you get a larger ship with lots of entertainment and activities without moving into the newest Wish-class ships.

This is 4/7 in our Disney Cruise Line ship series. Check out the rest of the series to compare all 7 ships.

Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries are now opening for Castaway Club members. Check the booking schedule in the slides to see when your membership level can book. If you have your eye on a particular itinerary, I’d recommend being ready to book as soon as you’re eligible rather than waiting for general booking.

🚢 DISNEY CRUISE LINE SHIP SERIES | 5/7

Disney Wish

The Disney Wish debuted in 2022 and was the first of a new class of Disney Cruise Line ships. It’s noticeably different from the older ships in both size and design, with much more immersive theming throughout the public spaces.

The Grand Hall is fairytale-inspired and features Cinderella, while the rest of the ship pulls heavily from stories like Frozen, The Princess and the Frog, Moana, Tangled and The Little Mermaid.

The Wish also introduced several experiences that have since become part of the newer-ship lineup, including AquaMouse, Worlds of Marvel and the Star Wars: Cargo Bay kids space. Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure is another standout. If you’re traveling with kids who have strong Disney character preferences, the Wish is worth looking at closely because of how much of the ship is built around specific stories.

This is 5/7 in our Disney Cruise Line ship series.

Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 sailings are now opening to Castaway Club members based on their membership level. Check the booking schedule in the slides so you know exactly when you’re eligible. General booking is coming soon, and some of the more desirable itineraries are already seeing availability disappear. If you’re thinking about one of these sailings, now is the time to decide which ship and itinerary you want to pursue.

🚢 DISNEY CRUISE LINE SHIP SERIES | 6/7

Disney Treasure

The Disney Treasure entered service in December 2024 and is the sister ship to the Disney Wish and Disney Destiny. Her entire design is centered around adventure, which makes the theming feel very different from the fairytale feel of the Wish or the heroes-and-villains concept of the Destiny.

The Grand Hall is inspired by Aladdin, with Aladdin and Jasmine suspended on a magic carpet above the space. Throughout the ship, you’ll find nods to The Jungle Cruise, The Lion King, Moana, Haunted Mansion, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and more.
One of the things I especially like about the Treasure is how specific the spaces are. Skipper Society feels like the Jungle Cruise, Periscope Pub references Captain Nemo, Plaza de Coco is the first Coco-themed theatrical dining experience, and the kids clubs include spaces themed to Marvel, Star Wars and Disney Imagineering. The Treasure also has its own AquaMouse storyline, “Curse of the Golden Egg.”

This is 6/7 in our Disney Cruise Line ship series. Check out the other ships in the series if you’re trying to figure out which one fits your family best.

Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries are now opening for eligible Castaway Club members. Check the booking schedule in the slides to see when your Castaway Club level can book. Some of these sailings are especially popular, and desirable dates and itineraries are already filling in. If you have a particular sailing in mind, I’d start narrowing down your options now rather than waiting for general booking.

🚢 DISNEY CRUISE LINE SHIP SERIES | 7/7

Disney Destiny

The Disney Destiny is the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, entering service in November 2025. She’s the sister ship to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, but her theming takes a very different direction.

The Destiny is built around the idea of heroes and villains, so you’ll see that theme carried throughout the ship. The Grand Hall features T’Challa with a black panther, and spaces like Haunted Mansion Parlor, De Vil’s, The Sanctum and Cask & Cannon each bring a different Disney story to life.

The dining lineup is also different from the other ships, with Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King joining Worlds of Marvel and 1923. For families, the kids spaces include Marvel Super Hero Academy, Fairytale Hall, Star Wars: Cargo Bay and Walt Disney Imagineering Lab.
And of course, AquaMouse gets its own Destiny-exclusive storyline: “Sing a Silly Song.”

This is 7/7 in our Disney Cruise Line ship series. We’ve put all 7 ships together so you can compare them before deciding which one is right for your next cruise.

If you’re looking at Fall 2027 or Spring 2028, now is the time to pay attention. Those sailings are opening to Castaway Club members in tiers, with general booking coming soon. Check the schedule in the slides to see when you’re eligible to book. Some of these itineraries are highly desirable, and availability is already moving quickly.

If you know you want to cruise during these seasons, I would not wait until general booking opens to start figuring out your ship and itinerary.
