One of my favorite parts of the conference was learning all about this incredible destination. Seriously… out of the 22 pages of notes I took, over half were about Alaska. 🤯

I learned that Alaska isn’t just about cruises (although they’re absolutely incredible). You can experience it so many different ways. Ride the iconic Alaska Railroad through breathtaking scenery, combine a cruise with a land tour into Denali National Park, or even build a completely customized “go at your own pace” adventure with charming towns, wildlife, glaciers, and bucket-list experiences along the way.

🐻 Spot bears, moose, whales, bald eagles, and sea otters.
🚂 Ride one of the most scenic railways in the world.
🧊 Walk on or cruise past massive glaciers.
🏔️ Explore Denali National Park, home to North America’s tallest peak.
🐟 Go fishing, dog sledding, flightseeing, or chase the Northern Lights depending on the season.

I left that session completely in awe. Alaska has officially shot way up my travel bucket list, and I can’t wait to start planning these adventures for my clients. Because trust me… there’s so much more to Alaska than most people realize. 💙🏔️🚂

Before I left for conference, I kept saying I was going to level up… and I meant it.

One of the biggest takeaways? Expanding what I can offer you.

While in Tennessee, I had the chance to meet with incredible partners like Sandals & Beaches, Norwegian Cruise Line, Alaska tourism representatives, and so many others. We talked destinations, new experiences, insider tips, and the best ways to help my clients have unforgettable vacations.

You all know Disney is my first love. ❤️ And that isn’t changing. But I also book cruises, Universal, all-inclusive resorts, and now I’m putting even more focus into bucket-list destinations.

Dreaming of visiting Alaska — by land or sea? A guided tour through Europe? Relaxing at an all-inclusive in the Caribbean? I’m here for that too.

This conference wasn’t just about collecting brochures—it was about building relationships, gaining knowledge, and making sure I can confidently help you plan wherever your next adventure takes you.

Disney will always have my heart… but the world is a pretty incredible place too. 🌍✈️

Today was all about leveling up with You Can Fly Travels. ✈️💙

I can’t even put into words how motivating it is to spend the day in a room full of people who share the same passion you do. Being surrounded by advisors who genuinely want to grow, support one another, and help people create unforgettable vacations is one of the most empowering feelings.

Today was my first time meeting everyone from my agency in person, and from the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with open arms. It’s been a wild ride in this travel industry, but I’m so thankful I’ve found my home.

I can’t wait to take everything I’ve learned today and use it to serve my clients even better—bringing you new destinations, new experiences, and even more knowledge to help plan your next adventure.

And the best part? Today was only Day 1. 💙✈️

Okay, let’s talk about the real star of this cruise: the food. 😂🍴

I ate my way across Resilient Lady, and while there wasn’t a bad meal to be found, these were the bites that I’m still thinking about:

🥕 Razzle Dazzle – The bourbon maple pork belly and the brown butter carrots with cheese foam. Listen… I know carrots aren’t usually the star of the show, but these were ridiculous.

🍝 Extra Virgin – The pappardelle al ragù and the porcini-rubbed NY strip. Both were incredible, and honestly, this may have been my favorite restaurant on the ship.

🥩 The Wake – Every steak I tried was incredible, but the sleeper hit for me was the clam chowder with crispy shrimp. And I can’t talk about The Wake without mentioning the French toast topped with whipped crème fraîche. Our table tried almost everything at brunch, and that was the clear winner.

🍮 Pink Agave – The bread pudding. That’s it. That’s the post.

🍗 Gunbae – The dakgang jeong (crispy chicken with chili sauce). Such a simple dish, but somehow one of my favorite bites from the entire week.

These are the dishes I’m still thinking about days later… and honestly, that’s probably the highest compliment I can give.

Now I need to know… what’s the one dish on Virgin Voyages that you’d go back for again and again? 👀

One of the best parts of my cruise? Booking the next one before I even got off the ship. 😂🚢

Virgin Voyages offers a “My Next Virgin Voyage” program that lets you lock in savings on a future sailing while you’re onboard. The best part? Not only is it already a great deal on its own, but it can often be stacked with other promotions, making the savings even better.

After a week on Resilient Lady, the decision was easy. Before I headed home, I locked in my next Virgin Voyage and some great savings for a future sailing.

Now the real question is… where will the next adventure be? The Caribbean? Alaska? Europe? Who knows. 👀❤️

One thing’s for sure: I’ll be sailing with Virgin again.

If you’ve never sailed Virgin before, here are a few things that make it stand out from other cruise lines:

🔴 The Band.
Instead of carrying around a cruise card, Virgin uses a wearable band that acts as your room key, onboard charge card, and more. No lanyard, no digging through your bag, and no worrying about where you put your card. It was such a simple thing, but I loved the convenience all week.

🥤 Soft drinks are included.
No hunting down a soda package or worrying about extra charges every time you want a Coke.

🍽️ Specialty restaurants are included.
Instead of paying extra for specialty dining, Virgin includes it. From Gunbae to The Wake, some of the best meals on the ship are already part of your cruise fare.

👥 It never felt overly crowded.
This was one of the biggest things I noticed. Even on sea days, I rarely felt like I was fighting crowds. Finding a place to sit, grabbing food, or just walking around the ship felt much more relaxed than what I’ve experienced on other cruise lines.

🥗 No traditional buffet.
Instead, Virgin has The Galley, a food hall-style dining area with multiple made-to-order stations. It feels fresher, less crowded, and honestly a lot more enjoyable than standing in a buffet line.

📱 Minimal overhead announcements.
One of my favorite surprises! You won’t constantly hear announcements over the speakers. Most updates and information are sent directly to your phone through the Virgin Voyages app, creating a much more relaxed atmosphere around the ship.

🍸 No drink packages — just Bar Tabs.
Rather than requiring everyone in a cabin to purchase a drink package, Virgin offers Bar Tabs. You decide how much you want to spend on drinks ahead of time, and that’s your budget. It’s flexible, simple, and perfect whether you’re having one cocktail a day or several.

There are plenty of other things that make Virgin stand out, but these were some of the biggest differences I noticed right away. After sailing, I completely understand why so many people become loyal Virgin cruisers.

🥢 Let’s Talk Gunbae

Gunbae is Virgin Voyages’ Korean BBQ restaurant, but it’s more than just dinner. It’s an experience.
If you’re sailing Virgin, my advice is simple: book it for your first night.

Why?

First, it sets the vibe for the entire trip. Gunbae is loud, fun, interactive, and the perfect way to kick off vacation mode.

Second, you get to meet people right away. You’ll be seated with other sailors, and midway through dinner, the server gets everyone involved in a drinking game. It’s a fun way to break the ice and get to know the people at your table.

You start off with appetizers and vegetables, and later they bring out all the meats to try so you can decide which ones you want more of.

Honestly, by the time we made it through everything, our entire table was stuffed. I don’t think a single person ordered additional meat after the tasting round. 😂

One of my favorite things about Gunbae was that we kept running into our dinner crew throughout the entire trip. We’d see each other around the ship, wave when we passed each other, and even randomly ran into them at a local restaurant in Bimini.

For a group of strangers who met over Korean BBQ and a drinking game, that’s pretty cool.

The food was great, the atmosphere was fun, and it was the perfect way to kick off the cruise. 🥢❤️

🚢 Luggage Drop & Luggage Tags

Before embarkation day, Virgin Voyages gives you luggage tags that you can print and attach to your bags before arriving at the port.

Normally, I would absolutely do that.
This time? After working almost 70 hours before vacation, I literally didn’t have time. 😂

When we pulled up to the terminal, we handed our luggage off to the porters. Since we didn’t have our tags attached, they had to fill them out and attach them for us.

The only problem was that it was busy, so they had us drop our bags and drive off to park before the tags were attached.

As an anxious girlie, watching my luggage disappear before the tags were even on it was a little stressful. 😅

Thankfully, all of our bags made it onboard.

However, one of them ended up with the wrong stateroom number on the tag. Luckily, it was still near our room, so it wasn’t a huge issue.

Does printing and attaching your luggage tags guarantee nothing will happen? Of course not.

But if I can eliminate even a tiny bit of embarkation day anxiety, I’m going to do it. 😂🚢

🚢 Day 1: Embarkation

Alright y’all, let’s start at the beginning.

Miami traffic is actually insane.

Our GPS said it would take about an hour to get from my cousin’s house to Port Miami. It took almost two. We left with plenty of time, so it wasn’t a huge deal, but if you’re cruising out of Miami, plan ahead because the traffic around the port is no joke.

Once we got to the Virgin terminal, we dropped off our luggage and headed to the garage across from the terminal to park. After that, we walked back over to check in and get our bracelets. The bracelets act as your room key and how you pay for things onboard.

The check-in process was super easy. We were in and out in probably 10 minutes.

Since we planned ahead and arrived early, we had some time to kill.

We arrived back at the terminal around 1:45, used the restroom, and got in line for our boarding group.

Y’all…

At 2:00, we were walking into the building.

At 2:09, we were stepping onto the ship.

I don’t know what kind of magic Virgin Voyages has figured out, but that was hands down one of the easiest boarding processes I’ve ever experienced.
