As a travel agent, one of my favorite things is being able to create special moments for the people I love and for my clients ❤️🚢 When I booked this cruise for my parents, they chose and paid for an interior room because they wanted to save money, especially since this is my dad’s FIRST cruise ever 🥺

But behind the scenes, I did what I always try to do for my clients… I submitted a request for a complimentary upgrade. It was never guaranteed, and I honestly had not even checked my email yet to see if anything had changed.

So when I opened the cabin door and realized my parents had been upgraded to a balcony, my excitement was completely real 😭🌊 Knowing they were going to get to wake up to those ocean views made the moment even more emotional for me.

People often only see the booking side of being a travel agent, but there is so much we do behind the scenes putting in requests, advocating for our clients, checking for opportunities, and always trying to go the extra mile to help create unforgettable memories ❤️
