Pros of using a Travel Agent (TA):
• Saves you hours of research (no 27 open tabs 😅)
• Personalised trips based on your budget, dates, and travel style 🛳️
• Access to deals, perks, upgrades & suppliers you won’t see online
• One point of contact if flights change, things go wrong, or plans need adjusting📲
• A voice to sort stuff if something stuffs up, we deal with it, not you
• Great for cruises, families, complex trips, or “I don’t even know where to start” holidays

Cons:
• Some people think it costs more (but it doesn’t and can actually save money and time) 🤑
• If you love planning every tiny detail yourself, you might prefer DIY(as long as you like those long waits on hold when something goes wrong)
• Not all agents have the same experience and communication matters, so just make sure to find the right fit

Bottom line:
If you want convenience, confidence, and support a TA is a win.
If you enjoy doing everything yourself and accept the risk, DIY can work too.

How does it work?

You can submit a Points Choice request anytime before your sailing or up to 14 days after your cruise. This allows you to apply your earned points to the loyalty program you choose: Crown & Anchor, Captain’s Club, or the Venetian Society.

How do I submit my request?

Beginning January 30, 2026, for sailings departing on or after that date, you’ll be able to access a request form through the Royal Caribbean app or on our website. You must already be enrolled in the program you’re applying points to.

How are points earned?

You’ll continue earning points the same way you do today — based on your stateroom category and nights sailed. If you want to keep your points with the brand you sailed on, no action is needed. If you choose to move your points to another brand, the exchange rates are:

I need to clear something up ✋

I’m honestly tired of people messaging me asking, “Can you beat this price?” — because that’s not what being a travel agent is about.

You use a travel agent because you want to support a small business 🤍, not a corporate booking site.
You want to be able to contact an actual person 📞 while you’re traveling when things go wrong.
You want someone who understands you and knows how to give you the best vacation possible ✨🌴.

If you’re just looking for a cheap vacation, hotel, flight, train, etc., that’s totally fine — please feel free to book it yourself online 💻.

What is a waste of a travel agent’s time is asking us to see if we can “beat the price.”
If saving a few dollars 💵 — and sending that money back to a corporation — matters more to you than supporting a friend or family member’s business, then please don’t waste my time.

Do you go to your hairstylist 💇‍♀️, mechanic 🔧, doctor 🩺, or massage therapist and ask, “Can you beat this price I found?”
Of course not — because you’re paying for expertise, service, and experience.

I take trainings 📚, earn certifications 🎓, and attend classes with top suppliers so I can give my clients the best experience possible.
Online booking sites simply can’t do that — and they won’t advocate for you when something goes wrong ✈️⚠️.

This isn’t about being cheaper.
It’s about being better 💯
