One of the biggest perks of Disneyland is how freely the characters walk around the parks! You may turn a corner and suddenly spot Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, or Pluto strolling by.

Many of them stop to take pictures, sign autographs, and interact with guests, making every encounter feel spontaneous and personal. We took so many pictures with the core group, and it was such a fun part of our trip!

If meeting characters is important to your family, Disneyland definitely delivers. It’s one of those special touches that adds even more magic to the experience—and another great reason to plan a Disneyland vacation!

🏰✨ DISNEYLAND BEFORE WE GO: PART 1 — WHY DISNEYLAND?

This trip is a little extra special. 💙

My daughter Sadie just celebrated her birthday, and this is her one-on-one trip with Mom! With Labor Day giving her a little break from school, it was the perfect excuse for a fun, quick getaway.

We’ve done Disney World, but this time Sadie chose Disneyland. 🏰

She’s watched the videos, seen the rides and experiences that are different from Orlando, and decided that if she was getting a trip of her own, she wanted to choose something different from what she’s experienced with her siblings.

And honestly… I get it. 😂 When you have siblings, getting to pick something that's yours is pretty special.

So, California it is! ✈️🌴

One of the things I’m already loving about planning Disneyland is that it can be such a doable long-weekend Disney trip. You don't necessarily need an entire week to make some pretty incredible memories.

**⭐️ Virgin Voyages Review: The Wake – 10/10 ⭐️**

The Wake was the very first restaurant we experienced onboard as we sailed away from Miami, and it set the bar incredibly high for the rest of the cruise.

I started with the wedge salad, followed by the filet cooked medium rare with a side of twice-baked potatoes. My husband ordered the hanger steak (rare) with sautéed mushrooms. Before the meal even started, they brought out warm, freshly baked bread with garlic butter... and it was absolutely irresistible. 🤤

For dessert, we shared the hazelnut mousse, and it was the perfect ending to an amazing meal.

Beyond the food, what really stood out was the atmosphere. The Wake has a calm, elegant, and peaceful feel that makes it perfect for couples. It was the ideal way to kick off our anniversary cruise while watching the Miami skyline disappear into the distance.
