Another great 3 day hunt completed with a good group of guys from West Virginia we put up somewhere around 40 woodcock and a dozen grouse lots of shots fired!! The guys harvested 6 woodcock. Sage our one year old had some excellent bird work allowing us to move in and make some shots on her finds.

What a GREAT 3 days of upland hunting!

Over the past three days, we pointed and flushed 71 woodcock and 8 grouse, with a couple of woodcock limits harvested! The dogs put in some outstanding work, and it was an incredible few days in the Maine woods.

Now it’s time to switch gears and head back into the big woods for another Maine moose hunt!

What a great morning in the woods!

We put up 17 woodcock and 1 grouse, with 3 birds harvested. The dogs put on an exceptional show today—great points, strong bird work, and plenty of hard hunting from start to finish.

Days like this are exactly why we love chasing wild birds!

Good dogs, honest effort, and quality time afield.

A busy day in the field!

Got out this morning with the pointers and managed to put some woodcock and a grouse in front of the dogs. Always a good day when you can get some birds pointed and the dogs doing what they love.

What a hunt this week zone 18 was a blast tough weather to start the week but today that all changed at 630 this am when we called the first bull in then this evening we punched the tag from 15 yards!

It’s been an action-packed few weeks here at Roaring Brook Outfitters! 🐻

We just wrapped up a great week of bear hunting with hounds and were fortunate enough to harvest two beautiful Maine black bears—one weighing an impressive 315 pounds and the other just over 200 pounds.

We even managed to sneak in a beagle field trial between hunts, and our boy Bandit came away with a placement! 🐶🏆

Now we’re switching gears and getting into moose hunting mode before we turn our attention to the upcoming grouse and hare seasons. 🫎🐦🐇

We’re still booking a limited number of snowshoe hare hunts for this winter, so if you’ve been thinking about getting out with the hounds, feel free to reach out and get your dates lined up.
