Disney World or Disneyland? When it comes to families, which one wins? Read this 👇
When it comes to a Disney theme park vacation, one has many choices to make. One of these choices is whether to visit Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida or Disneyland and Anaheim California. For a lot of families, they struggle with which option is better.
For families traveling with smaller children, or families with limited time, there is no competition. Disneyland in Anaheim, California offers the same magical experience but with a smaller footprint and usually less stress.
Let's break it! Down:
🏰 A smaller park footprint means easier walking and greater ride density. You don't have to struggle from one end of the park to the other to get to your favorite attractions. It takes less than 15 minutes to walk from one side of the park to the other. How do I know? I've timed it. Don't let size fool you though, Disneyland has a lot of magic to offer.
🥳 Disneyland has more family friendly attractions as the park focuses on nostalgia and what brings Disney fans together. Fantasyland and Small World alone are enough to keep younger ones and adults alike entertained. You can also find classic attractions here that have disappeared from the East Coast like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and Snow White's Enchanted Wish.
🧘 Two parks means less planning and more exploring. Disney World is heaven for a pre-planner, while Disneyland allows for a more organic experience. Sit down and character dining is limited, so the focus is maximizing the fun with special events sprinkled here and there.
And a bonus: Disneyland is perfect for families with limited time. Disney World has 4 theme parks, 2 water parks and Disney Springs. Disneyland has only 2 theme parks and Downtown Disney, and they are all within walking distance connected by a convenient outdoor lobby known as The Esplanade.
