Per Club President Tim Lemke: The August monthly meeting is this evening. Although there is a chance of rain, it may hold off until we've finished washing/waxing the club airplane. We start at 6:00 PM with the washing and waxing activity on the east side of the Myers Aviation hangar. The business meeting will be held in the club hangar starting at approximately 6:50 PM. Tonight's meeting includes a review and discussion of the engine cooling system in N7088G, facilitated by John Dorcey.

It was a gorgeous evening to wash and wax 7088G, have dinner with fellow members, and have our monthly meeting with safety presentation. Tonight’s topic was the electrical system on 88G. Thanks to all who helped!

We'll meet at the Oshkosh Airport terminal building starting at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will include a presentation from Larry & Margaret Burton regarding their trip to Alaska this summer in their Cirrus SR22T. N7088G flew flawlessly for 11.7 hours over the weekend, visiting 18 Northwoods airports over three days, including Superior and Madeline Island (La Pointe.) Great weather, one IFR flight, and an airport campout with other pilots made for special flying memories.

From Club President Tim Lemke:
The regular monthly meeting of the Winnebago Flying Club will be held one week from today on Tuesday, August 5th. The activities will start at 6 PM with the washing of the club airplane (weather permitting). Meet on the east side of the Myers Aviation hangar. Once the plane wash is complete we'll reposition to the club hangar (E-4) for waxing and detailing the airplane. With enough help we can get this all done by about 6:45. The business meeting will follow, starting about 6:50.

Club CFI John Dorcey will lead the educational portion of the meeting: an explanation and discussion of the brake system for N7088G.

If unfavorable weather makes it impractical to do the airplane wash & wax next Tuesday, I'll send out an email notice on Tuesday afternoon.
