❄️✨ Staying at the Tinker Bell Lake Houses? Be sure to check out local horse-drawn sleigh rides during your visit. It’s a magical winter experience and a wonderful way to make lasting family memories as part of your getaway.
A winter sleigh ride in New Hampshire’s White Mountains is about as magical as it gets during the cold months here! You bundle up under warm blankets and glide through snowy fields with views of Mount Lafayette, Cannon Mountain, and the Kinsman Ridge all around you. The sleigh moves at a calm, steady pace as the horse’s bells jingle softly with each step through the snow. You sit back, sip hot cocoa, and take in the quiet winter scenery without rushing a thing.
Rides begin in mid-December and run Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holiday weeks, with departures at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30. Each private, one-horse sleigh holds up to four adults and lasts about 30 minutes. Rides leave from across the street at the Franconia Inn. The Franconia Notch Stables also offers trail rides throughout the warmer months and includes a free hot cocoa bar. Reservations are required!
