Continuing Education – National Academy of Continuing Legal Education

On Thursday, August 17, 2023, Kimberly A. Steele, Esq. will host a national live webinar in conjunction with National Academy of Continuing Legal Education.
The topic will be “Ethics In Modern Day Legal Practice – The Current Hot Ethical Topics Found in Client Grievances and Malpractice Suits”. While focusing on the rules that govern attorney conduct, the course explores application of the rules to the ever-changing landscape of legal practice. Specific addressment includes preservation of electronic data, cyber security, social media, and electronics and technology in the (in-person and virtual) courtroom.
The course also touches upon the healthy and unhealthy client, malpractice actions, and grievances, while exploring ethical considerations pertaining to clients and the attorney-client relationship.

The past three years have been incredibly challenging, professionally and personally. In addition to the demands of our practice, which were heightened during COVID and remain to be, we have had to really take the time and breath to focus on the demands outside of our professional lives. Now more than ever is a balanced life so important, essential to being the best version of self so that we are able to be the best version of self professionally. And we carry that forward with our practice, our team, and our clients. Kimberly is the founding member of our firm. Kimberly graduated magna cm laude from Elmira College on a full academic scholarship with a bachelor of arts in International Relations, minor in European Affairs and a second bachelor of arts in Modern Foreign Languages with a minor in French , attended the Université de la Sorbonne in Paris, France where she studied law and economic policies of the European Union, also on full academic scholarship, and received her Juris Doctor from Albany Law School of Union University with a specialization in International Law. Kimberly has previously served as corporate counsel and vice president of commercial sales of a Central New York community bank. Kimberly also volunteers with several not-for-profits in her community as well as on the state and national level, including Hospice and with local animal rescues and volunteer fire companies.

In addition to practicing law, Kimberly is the founding member of H.T. Grace & Associates, LLC, a full service consulting firm that assists small business owners throughout the country. Kimberly is also the owner of Turnaround Credit Repair, providing consumers with credit repair services and business owners with risk rating repair services for purposes of risk management, insurance and bonding. Kimberly is also the owner-developer of a $15.8 million dollar commercial project pending in Oswego, New York on Lake Ontario.

Kimberly is originally from Lake George, New York and now makes her home in Oswego with her rescued dogs and rehabilitated rescued ducks. Kimberly enjoys competitive sailing and teaching sailing on her sailboats, and cruising with her father in their classic cars.

We are pleased to announce that Rachel Heath has joined our firm as our Operations Manager. Rachel has over fifteen years in the business industry in various capacities involving business financing, management, human resources, and day-to-day operations. Rachel has worked with various sized companies throughout the United States, including a family-owned fire services company.

Rachel also clerked with The Honorable Rita Carrasco of Culberson County, Texas for four years, primarily focusing on civil matters.

Rachel resides in Central New York with her husband and their two precious boys, along with their dog Bailey, cat Nala, and her sons' fish whose names change on a regular basis.

Ryan has been a team leader with our firm for over ten years. Ryan earned his advanced certified paralegal credential focusing in land use on September 29, 2022. The certified paralegal and advanced certified paralegal credentials are offered through the National Association of Legal Assistants, a private organization whose mission is to provide continuing education and professional development to paralegals across America. NALA’s advanced certified paralegal program recognizes paralegals who have demonstrated commitment to their professions by completing advanced courses in specific legal areas.
