This past week in Oswego brought quite an array of weather conditions, which significantly impacted our sport fishing adventures on Lake Ontario. From sunny skies to those unpredictable winds, we encountered some highs and lows.

The fluctuating temperatures and changes in wind patterns kept anglers on their toes. On days with optimal conditions, we saw some fantastic catches, particularly with browns and atlantic salmon! However, the clearer water later in the week made things a bit more challenging, requiring patience and skill.

The big winds we experienced today should help stir things up and improve the fishing conditions for the coming week. The forecast looks promising, and we're excited to see what the lake has in store for us!

We’ve had an exciting week on the water! Many anglers are reeling in above-average sized browns ranging from 6-10 lbs, along with atlantic salmon in the lower 20” range and some impressive 25-27” specimens! We've also seen the occasional coho and smaller kings making an appearance.

When conditions have been optimal, the fishing has been fantastic! However, we’ve had to work a bit harder when the water clears up. Today brought some big winds, which should set us up for an even better week ahead!

BP Adventures Sport Fishing Charters had an unforgettable day on Lake Ontario in Oswego NY. Brian brought his son Cole out for his very first trip on the lake, and it was a day to remember. Cole was a natural out there—his fishing skills were incredible! He jumped right in, helping set lures and leaders as well as a constant sharp eye on the rods reeling in his first Lake Ontario fish with total confidence. He didn’t stop there, landing several more fish throughout the day like a pro. Brian was all smiles, holding up his own catches right alongside Cole, making it a perfect father-son adventure under a sunny sky with calm waters. Seeing Cole’s excitement and talent on his first trip was the highlight of the day, and I can’t wait to have these two back on the boat. Couldn’t ask for better friends. These guys are awesome!
