Belize reminded me of something.

The places I remember most aren't necessarily the places with the fanciest hotel.

They're the places where I actually DID something.

I remember jumping into that Caribbean water.

Seeing the reef below us.

Sharks swimming around.

Stingrays cruising underneath.

Manatees showing up.

Driving around Ambergris Caye in a golf cart.

Stopping because something looked interesting.

Eating somewhere because somebody said, “You gotta try this place.”

Getting dusty.

Getting hot.

Getting soaked.

Laughing our asses off.

THAT'S Belize.

It isn't a destination I think you should watch from your resort balcony.

Get out there.

Explore it.

Taste it.

Talk to people.

Get on the water.

Take the golf cart.

Take the boat.

Take the adventure.

Sometimes the best vacations aren't relaxing.

Sometimes they're the ones you come home from needing another vacation. 😂🌴

🍹 ADULTS-ONLY DOES NOT HAVE TO MEAN BORING.

This is one of the biggest misconceptions I hear about adults-only all-inclusive resorts.

Some are quiet and romantic.

Absolutely.

What Actually Happens?

People ask me what a Salty Starfish Travel Club trip is actually like.

Belize probably explains it better than I ever could.

One day we're snorkeling one of the most incredible barrier reefs in the world.

Another we're cruising around San Pedro in golf carts.

We're swimming with sharks and rays.

Seeing manatees.

Hitting Caye Caulker.

Eating incredible local food.

Having drinks.

Exploring.

Laughing.

And occasionally having absolutely NO IDEA what we're getting ourselves into. 😂

There are planned experiences.

But there's also freedom.

Want to hang with the group? Let's go.

Want to disappear to the beach for three hours? See ya later.

Want to grab a golf cart and explore?

DO IT.

I don't want our trips to feel like you're on a school field trip.

🇨🇼 WHY AREN'T MORE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT CURAÇAO?!

No rental car.

No highway.

Grab the golf cart and GO.

That's Ambergris Caye.

Head north. Find a beach bar. Stop somewhere you've never heard of. Grab some food. Keep going.

Maybe Secret Beach.

Maybe somewhere completely different.

Half the fun is figuring it out along the way.
