We’re going LIVE on Facebook on Tuesday, August 5th, at approximately 9 AM to capture the installation of the historic 90+ year-old Coliseum trusses over Market Street! These beautifully restored trusses will create a stunning new gateway to downtown Ottumwa.

This is just the beginning of many exciting Market Street Landing riverfront revitalization improvements.

In August of 1930, Grant Wood took a tour of Eldon, Iowa, and spotted a little white house with a large Gothic window. Struck by inspiration, Wood quickly sketched the house and returned home to paint "American Gothic".

The original house stands to this day, and its exterior is viewed by thousands of people each year. Join us during this 95th anniversary year, stand right where Wood was inspired, and create your own "American Gothic"-themed masterpiece.

• Proceeds support youth programming at the Sports Center
