On October 15, 1979, Walter "Radar" O'Reilly bid a final farewell to the M*A*S*H 4077 on the character's final episode of the television show. Radar received a hardship discharge when his Uncle Ed passed away, and he returned to his hometown of Ottumwa, Iowa, to help his mother on the family farm. "Good-Bye, Radar Part 2" featured emotional farewells, an influx of wounded soldiers, and leaving his iconic teddy bear for Hawkeye.

At the Meet Ottumwa Visitor Center, you can step back in time to Radar's office:
* dig through his desk drawers and see what he's working on today
* read all the Ottumwa quotes from the television show
* learn about the real-life Ottumwa connection to our fictional hometown boy
* write memos, then stamp them CLASSIFIED!
* check out the company personnel files and discover Radar's notes on each one
* Pick up a hometowns tour map to visit the cities all of the characters came from

The Visitor Center at 115 E. Main St. is open Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. We look forward to seeing you soon!
