Dreaming about next weekend already? 🌥 Us too! And a weekend on Black Canyon Lake sounds just about right! Just 45 miles east of Payson AZ on Forest Road 86, Black Canyon Lake is the perfect place to go for a leisurely hike or to spend the day fishing for trout. 🎣🎣

Want to be one-with-nature for the weekend and not just the day? Black Canyon Rim Campground is just 2.5 miles South-West of the lake, with 20 sites of various sizes and a campfire ring (with grill) and picnic table at every site. 🌲⛺🌲(AND, because the campground in located in the Heber Wild Horse territory, herds of wild horses are often seen running through the area and even stopping at Black Canyon Lake for water.)

⛺ Leaving work on a Friday to go camping at Show Low Lake like… ⛺ Don’t let us have all the fun though!

Spend your weekend lakeside in Show Low, camping in one of the 75 camp spots and fishing for Rainbow Trout, Bluegill and Walleye. (Fun Fact: The last five Walleye state records, including the last record of 16 pounds and 2 ounces, were caught in Show Low Lake.) 🎣🎣🎣

There are also many beautiful opportunities for hiking and exploring the surrounding area, as well as many local amenities to enjoy!
