Meet Pierre and Laurence, local truffle farmers extraordinaire! This amazing duo and their adorable dogs welcomed us to their truffière (instagram: ) as if we were long lost friends! 😊

So amazing to participate in this “cavage” experience and watch these highly trained dogs 🐕‍🦺 find truffles at their peak maturity growing in the soil beneath oak trees. 🌳 Here’s how it works: truffle fungus connects with roots to help trees obtain nutrients and water from the soil. In return, trees supplies fungus with sugars produced through photosynthesis. The result = Tuber melanosporum aka Black Périgord Truffle.

There are two seasons for this culinary delight - summer and winter, with winter truffles being the most coveted when they can sell for $500-$800 😳💰per pound depending on the quality. The much less intensely aromatic summer truffle can go for $100-$200 per pound.

If you have an opportunity to watch the dogs (sorry, pigs are no longer used) in action it's an experience you won't forget!

Villefranche-sur-Mer is definitely worth the hype! 🤩

It's the kind of place where you wander without a plan, stop for a glass of wine by the water, and somehow lose track of time. Colorful buildings, beautiful harbor views, and that laid-back Riviera vibe that makes it hard to leave.

You can also see spectacular views from the water on a boat ride from Nice. ⛴️

Definitely a place worth returning to! 🇫🇷💙

Is this Paris? Believe it or not… YES! 🇫🇷✨

Tucked away in the Marais, these charming half-timbered houses are two of the oldest surviving homes in Paris, dating back to the late 15th and early 16th centuries.

They offer a fascinating glimpse into a Paris that existed long before Haussmann’s grand boulevards and sweeping transformations of the city in the 19th century. Can you imagine if Paris still looked like this today?

Add them to your list next time you’re wandering through the Marais: 11 and 13 Rue François Miron. 🏡

Have you seen Notre-Dame since it reopened? ⛪️

It’s absolutely gorgeous. 🤩 After years of restoration, the cathedral looks better than ever — the pale limestone now glows with its original “blonde” hue.

⭐️ Over 430,000 square feet of stone were meticulously cleaned and the lighting was completely redesigned with thousands of LEDs and projectors, offering programmable, energy-efficient illumination, tailored to different times of day and events.

⭐️ The overall effect is a lighter, and cleaner Notre Dame, and is nothing short of spectacular – a breathtaking blend of historical beauty and modern brilliance.

Tickets can only be reserved online two days in advance and are snapped up super quickly! Another option is to just wait in line, or attend mass, which has a separate entrance line.

A can’t miss experience for anyone visiting Paris! 🇫🇷🔔

🌀 Discover the Secret Passages of Old Lyon 🇫🇷✨

Tucked behind centuries-old facades in the heart of Vieux Lyon are the traboules — hidden passageways that twist through buildings and courtyards, connecting one street to another like a secret labyrinth. Originally used by silk workers to transport their goods while staying sheltered from the weather, these corridors are steeped in history, myster , and charm. 🧵🏛️

Some are open to the public (if you know where to look 👀), and walking through them feels like stepping into a different era. Keep your eyes peeled for stone staircases, Renaissance arches, and the occasional local who knows all their secrets.

✨Pro tip: Look for the small plaques that mark public traboules — or better yet, get “lost” on purpose.
