Alayna and Ricky were actually past clients of mine, and in February 2025 (15 months ago), she reached out to work together again but this time, it was to help start planning their destination wedding. After 15 months of planning, today is the day they finally say “I do!”

From meeting online to navigating long distance, their love has truly stood the test of time and today, they’re celebrating that love with 80 of their closest family and friends as they tie the knot and begin the next chapter of their love story.

Alayna is a planner and knew exactly what she wanted! She knew she wanted an adults-only resort in Mexico that could provide a fun, relaxing and elevated experience for her guests. For her big day she envisioned getting married with a beautiful ocean backdrop, surrounded by her favorite people. I knew that Unico 2087 would be the perfect fit for their big day and today her vision comes to life!

Today is the day they say “I do” at UNICO 20°87° Hotel Riviera Maya, surrounded by 58 of their favorite people. It’s the grand finale after 15+ months of planning, Zoom calls, managing their guests travel and preparing for their Destination Wedding.

I’m always so excited to for my couples and to see their vision finally come to life. I can’t wait to see how beautiful everything turns out!

From the very first call with Kara and Frank, I had a feeling this would be more than just a client relationship — and I was right. We instantly clicked! They both radiate so much joy, warmth, and kindness to everyone around them. Truly one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever had the honor of working with. What started as a wedding planning journey quickly turned into a genuine friendship, and that’s something I’ll always be so grateful for.

They chose UNICO 2087 for their big day, and in Kara’s words, it was “PERFECT!” The week was filled with unforgettable moments — pool parties, late-night karaoke, and a reception finale featuring one of the best bands in Mexico. It was such a fun, high-energy celebration from start to finish.

My only regret? Not being there in person! While I don’t currently attend or coordinate on-site for client weddings, I probably should have listened when they (and their families!) invited me multiple times. But don’t worry — Kara and I are already talking about planning another group trip… and this time, I’m not missing the fun. 😉

Here’s a little of what Kara had to say about working with me: “Kayla was the most helpful part of our destination wedding process. We came to her with a vision and a list of things we didn’t want- and that was it. She came back with 5 amazing resorts to choose from and an in-depth review about each one. After we chose our resort, she was the main contact for our 100+ guests booking and travel questions, she was on every planning call with me, answered every late night text, email and phone call. And was truly such a joy to work with from start to finish. She is communicative, organized, helpful, and has become more than just a travel agent to us. We will absolutely be using her for all of our trips to come and we highly recommend using her- even if you think you know all the ins and outs about travel! Our wedding was PERFECT and so much of that had to do with Kayla!”

A little over a year ago, I had the joy of connecting with Jordyn and Caleb after Caleb’s sister, Jenny, referred them to me (shoutout to .nolan.snaps 🫶🏻). Jenny had previously attended one of my other couples’ weddings and shared the idea of a destination celebration with Jordyn, something she didn’t realized was an option before that conversation.

During our discovery call, Jordyn shared that they were drawn to Mexico and the Dominican Republic, envisioning a breathtaking setting with both ocean and mountain views. After presenting a curated proposal of resort and wedding package options, they chose to celebrate their big day at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos.

Today, their dream becomes reality as they say “I do” in Cabo, surrounded by 51 of their closest family and friends. I cannot wait to hear about it and see pictures from their big day!

Taylor and Christian’s love story began back in 7th grade. They went on to attend college together and spent 8 years dating before getting engaged. When we first connected in April 2023, they told me how important it was to have a sky terrace venue with a breathtaking ocean backdrop. After sharing my proposal of options, they instantly fell in love with the Sky Gazebo at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres—the perfect setting for their “I do’s”!

It was such a joy working with this sweet couple and their amazing guests. Taylor shared with me, “Thank you so much, you were incredible to work with and we wouldn’t be here today without you! You’re the best!” 💙
