Come enjoy the flavors of the Chesapeake Bay at the National Harbor in Washington, D.C. on August 18th from 11am-9pm. Endulge in all-you-care-to-taste crabs and beer, with more than 50 beers and wine to choose from. With new bigger beer mugs, more crab stations and live music, the 3rd annual Chesapeake Crab and Beer Festival is sure to be the best one yet!

Nancy Menefee Jackson blogs about her most recent kayaking adventure. In between paddling out to some ghost ships, and watching a bald eagle chase, she and her husband managed to squeeze in a little fishing.

Thanks to a new kayak launch in Charles County, it's easy to paddle to Mallows Bay on the Potomac River, where old ships from World War I were scuttled.
