🚴‍♂️ PACIFIC, LET'S GIVE JOE BARR A BIG WELCOME! 🚴‍♂️

As many of you know, 2026 is a huge year as we celebrate the Route 66 Centennial, and now we have another reason to celebrate Pacific!
On Tuesday, June 9, at approximately 1:45 PM, Joe Barr will be making a stop in Pacific during his attempt to set a Guinness World Record by cycling the entire length of Route 66 in just 8 days.

Joe plans to complete the route on his 67th birthday, making this an incredible test of endurance and determination. He has scheduled only a few hours of rest for the entire journey from Chicago to California, and approximately 4 of those hours will be spent right here in Pacific.

Joe and his crew will be stopping at The Landing Hub for a well-deserved break, and he is looking forward to meeting the people of Pacific. Whether you are a resident, cyclist, Route 66 enthusiast, or simply someone who loves a great story, we invite you to come out and welcome him.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase as we celebrate Joe choosing Pacific as one of his official stops along Route 66. Before heading back out on the road, Joe will make a quick stop at Red Cedar Inn for a photo to help document his journey across America's Mother Road.

Please help us spread the word! Tell your friends, family, neighbors, cycling groups, and fellow Route 66 fans. Let's show Joe and his crew the hospitality Pacific is known for and give them a warm Pacific welcome.

Make sure to stop by and support our Kid Entrepreneurs! You can swing by for 5 minutes or stay for an hour — there are so many amazing booths to check out and lots of great items to consider buying.

Join us at Red Cedar Inn for our 3rd Annual Kid Entrepreneur Day from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.!

Please come out and support these amazing young entrepreneurs. I promise there will be something you can't live without! From baked goods and lemonade to jewelry, crafts, art, 3D prints, and so much more, our young business owners have been hard at work preparing for this special day.

These kids are SO excited! In fact, several have told me that this is their favorite event of the entire year. We also have some new faces joining us this year, and we can't wait to see all of the creativity, hard work, and talent on display.

🧹🌳 City-Wide Clean Up Day is just a little over a week away! 🌳🧹
We would love to have members of our community join us as we work together to brighten up Pacific and make it shine!
Whether you can volunteer for the entire event or just part of the day, we would be grateful for your help. Even an hour makes a difference and helps keep our community looking its best.

If you aren't able to sign up in advance, that's okay! Just show up at City Park at 8:00 a.m. and we will have plenty of projects and cleanup areas for you to choose from.

Do you belong to a club, organization, church group, scout troop, sports team, or business that would like to help? We would love to have you join us! The more volunteers we have, the more we can accomplish together.

Join us this Saturday, June 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Red Cedar Inn for our 3rd Annual Kid Entrepreneur Day!

We will have 22 booths featuring nearly 30 young entrepreneurs showcasing and selling their products. These talented kids are learning valuable business skills and may very well be our future business owners, community leaders, and innovators!
