Oh the Places We Will Go Travel Agency

Oh the Places We Will Go Travel Agency ✨ Disney & Universal Travel Planner | Budget-Friendly & Stress-Free Trips ✨ DM to Plan! Hello there! My name is Alex Dunn. I have always been the over planner.

I am a 25 year old stay at home mom with a 2 year old little girl. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Destin, for 4 years now. We love traveling the world, I mean but who doesn't? I love planning vacations. I love finding the deals. I love finding the hole in the wall, off the wall, and out of the box type of attractions and restaurants because who wants to eat at Applebee's everywhere you go? I am more than qualified in Disney, well I mean if 8 trips can make it possible to say that! I have so many tips and tricks to share! Who doesn't love the Castle, Toy Story, and all the princesses. I also LOVE Harry Potter. Universal Studios is literally the closest to "Hogwarts is my home" as I'll ever get. So I love to go and at least pretend that Harry, Ron, and Hermione are my best friends and we are in class everyday because let's all be honest, if Hogwarts sent me a letter today, I'd gladly sign up for 7 more years of school.

For your usual conversational style, I’d keep this short and cozy:

HELLO, BER MONTHS. 👋🍂

We’ve been waiting for you. 🤎

September is here, which means we’re officially entering the best time of year… fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, cozy weather, and ALL the trips. 👀✈️

Who else is ready?!

🍂 FALL HAS HIT SAM’S CLUB AND I’M NOT OKAY. 👀🎃

I walked into Sam’s Club and apparently we’re just skipping straight to Halloween… and I’m not mad about it. 😂

They have SO much Disney fall magic right now — Halloween decorations, Disney-themed costumes, spooky finds, bubble wands, and the cutest new Disney hoodies.

If you’re a Disney person, you already know how dangerous this section is. 😂🏰🎃

I’m just saying… if you’re heading to Sam’s Club, you might want to leave some room in the cart. 👀

What would you be grabbing first? 🎃✨

If you like fried pickles… add Smokejumpers Grill to your DCA list 👀🥒

These fried pickles come with buffalo ranch and are such an easy snack or side to grab during your park day.

Smokejumpers Grill is a quick-service spot in Grizzly Peak with burgers, chicken, salads, and other easy family-friendly options. They also have mobile ordering, which I definitely recommend if you’re trying to save some time.

And honestly… sometimes you just need a basket of fried pickles in the middle of a Disney day. 😂🥒

Before you stay at the Grand Californian… tour the room with me. 👀✨

If you’re looking for the most luxurious Disney-owned hotel at Disneyland Resort, the Grand Californian is hard to beat.

The rooms have a warm Craftsman-style design with rich wood accents and a cozy, upscale feel. You’ll have two queen beds or a king bed, a mini refrigerator, coffee maker, TV, plenty of storage, and comfortable space to unwind after a day in the parks.

The biggest reason people choose the Grand Californian is the location.

You’re just steps from Downtown Disney, and it’s the closest Disneyland Resort hotel to both parks, making it incredibly easy to head back for an afternoon break or return after the fireworks without a long walk.

Another reason guests love staying here is the atmosphere. The lobby is absolutely stunning, with towering fireplaces, beautiful woodwork, and live piano music on select evenings. Even if you aren’t in the parks, the resort itself feels like part of the vacation.

You’ll also find one of Disneyland Resort’s three character dining experiences at Storytellers Cafe, where the character theme changes throughout the year, plus multiple pools, hot tubs, and plenty of quiet places to relax.

As a Disneyland Resort hotel guest, you’ll also receive the current on-site guest benefit of one Lightning Lane entry per guest during your stay.

I usually recommend the Grand Californian for families who want the most convenient location, guests celebrating a special occasion, or anyone who wants their resort to feel just as magical as the parks.

If you need help deciding if the Grand Californian is worth it—or if another Disneyland Resort hotel would be a better fit for your family and budget—send me a message or fill out the form in my bio. I’ll help you compare all your options and find the best fit for your vacation. 🤍

POV: This is how kids get to their club on a Disney Cruise. 👀🚢

One of the coolest little details on Disney Cruise Line…

The kids don’t just walk into the Oceaneer Club—they get to slide in! 🤯

It’s such a fun way to kick off their adventure, and from that moment on, they can’t wait to go back.

Little details like this are what make Disney Cruise Line feel so different. The magic starts before they even step inside the club.

Why I actually recommend buying a bubble wand at Disney 👀🫧

I know it seems like a simple souvenir… but hear me out.

A bubble wand is one of the few things your child will use all day long.

It keeps little ones entertained while you’re waiting for parades, fireworks, transportation, or even just taking a snack break. And somehow, bubbles make every photo and video feel a little more magical.

One thing I love is that it isn’t just a “buy it and forget it” souvenir. Most kids keep playing with them long after they get home, so the memories don’t end when the vacation does.

My biggest tip? If you know your child is going to want one, buy it early in your trip instead of waiting until the last day. They’ll get to enjoy it throughout your entire vacation.

Sometimes it’s the simplest things that end up being their favorite Disney memory. 🤍

Did you know the Hard Rock Hotel pool has music you can hear UNDERWATER? 👀🎸

This is one of those Universal details that makes staying on-site feel like part of the vacation.

The pool at Hard Rock Hotel Orlando is over 12,000 square feet and has a special underwater sound system that lets you listen to rock and pop music while you’re completely submerged.

Yes… you can literally go underwater and still hear the music playing. 🤯

The pool area also has:
🎸 A 260-foot water slide
🏖️ A real sand beach area
🛁 Two hot tubs
🌴 Poolside cabanas available to rent

This is why I always tell people that your hotel choice matters. Sometimes the resort isn’t just where you sleep after the parks—it becomes part of the experience.

Hard Rock Hotel is one of Universal Orlando’s Premier hotels, which means guests receive Unlimited Universal Express Pass included during their stay for participating attractions at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.

(Express Pass is not included for Epic Universe at this time.)

If you’re trying to decide which Universal hotel fits your family best, send me a message or fill out the form in my bio and I’ll help you compare the options and find the best fit for your trip. 🤍

Before you stay at Pixar Place… tour the room with me. ✨

If you have a Pixar fan in your family, Pixar Place Hotel is such a fun option. The entire resort celebrates Pixar stories with colorful artwork, playful details, and nods to your favorite films without feeling over-the-top.

The rooms have a clean, modern feel with Pixar touches throughout. You’ll have two queen beds or a king bed, a mini refrigerator, coffee maker, TV, and plenty of space to relax after a day in the parks.

One of the biggest reasons families choose Pixar Place is the location.

You’re just a short walk from both Disney California Adventure and Disneyland Park through the Downtown Disney District, making it easy to head back to your room for a midday break or return after the parks close.

Another thing I love is that there’s so much to do at the resort itself. You’ll find the rooftop pool area, fun Pixar-themed activities, character experiences at select times, and Great Maple, one of my favorite places for breakfast.

Since it’s one of Disneyland Resort’s on-property hotels, you’ll also receive the current on-site guest benefit of one Lightning Lane entry per guest during your stay, along with all the convenience that comes with staying on Disney property.

I usually recommend Pixar Place for families who want to stay on Disney property, love Pixar movies, and want the convenience of being within walking distance of the parks while enjoying a hotel that’s an experience all on its own.

If you need help deciding if Pixar Place is the right fit—or if Disneyland Hotel or the Grand Californian would be a better option for your family—send me a message or fill out the form in my bio. I’ll help you compare all your options and find the best fit for your vacation. 🤍

Summer isn’t over yet… 🌴☀️

Volcano Bay is open through October 26, so there’s still plenty of time to plan a water park day!

If you’ve never been, think of it as more than just a water park. You’ll find thrilling slides, relaxing rivers, a massive wave pool, kid-friendly play areas, and one of the most beautifully themed parks in Orlando.

Whether you’re looking for adrenaline or just want to spend the day floating in the sun, Volcano Bay has a little bit of everything.

If you’re planning a Universal vacation this fall, I’d definitely consider adding a Volcano Bay day before it closes for the season.

If you need help deciding how to fit it into your itinerary, send me a message or fill out the form in my bio and I’ll help you plan the best trip for your family. 🤍

Before you stay in a Little Mermaid room at Art of Animation… tour it with me. 🧜‍♀️✨

If you have a Little Mermaid fan in your family, this resort is so much fun. From the moment you walk into the Little Mermaid section, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped under the sea with larger-than-life characters and details everywhere you look.

The rooms are bright, colorful, and themed from floor to ceiling. You’ll have two queen beds (one is a Murphy bed that folds down from the table), a mini refrigerator, coffee maker, TV, and plenty of storage for your family’s vacation.

One thing to know before you book—these are standard hotel rooms, not family suites. If you need more space or an extra bathroom, you’ll want to look at the Cars, Finding Nemo, or Lion King Family Suites instead.

Another thing I always tell my clients is that the Little Mermaid rooms are the farthest rooms from Animation Hall, the main pool, dining, and the Skyliner station. It’s something to keep in mind if walking longer distances is a concern for your family.

That said, you’re still staying at one of Disney’s most immersive resorts. Between the incredible theming, the Big Blue Pool, and easy Skyliner access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, it’s easy to see why so many families love Art of Animation.

I usually recommend the Little Mermaid rooms for families who want the Disney magic at a value resort and don’t mind a little extra walking in exchange for the incredible theming.

If you need help deciding if Art of Animation is the right fit—or if another Disney resort would be a better option for your family—send me a message or fill out the form in my bio. I’ll help you compare your options and find the best fit for your vacation. 🤍
