Hello to all our Travelers!

The Tourism Office ONLY will be closed until further notice.

So, no tours of the house while she is getting some needed attention to settling issues we are experiencing.

The lobby is still open for vending machines, maps and the restrooms.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Once work is completed, we will be back open for tours and the ladies in the office to help with any travel information!

It's with a heavy heart that I post this...
Bill Thistlewood was a favorite at our Annual Open House, he had a huge scrapbook from the very beginnings of Whitehaven being considered as a Welcome Center.. so much history! He was a part of the architect team that worked on the details of the house.
I wasn't able to contact him about this past Open House (12/14/24), I even had people ask about him.
Mr. Billy Thistlewood has gone on to his reward. RIP my friend, your end of the big desk just won't be the same next Open House.

Thank you always providing such wonderful music! You really "set the tone" for Open House!!!
