Our final employee spotlight introduces you to Betty. That’s me...the one who has been introducing you to our team over the past six weeks. I sometimes laughingly refer to JP2Way as “‘Five Guys’ and me”. But, regrettably, there are no massive servings of fries or scrumptious milkshakes at our counter!

I came to work for JP2Way in May 2005, as an assistant to the office manager (and my sister), Sue. With Sue retiring at the end of 2019, I transitioned into the position of office manager in January of this year.

Having so many different responsibilities and tasks is what I truly like best about my job. I am grateful for the trust and freedom given to me each day in doing them. I also appreciate and enjoy friendships I’ve made with many of our customers, as well as our delivery drivers and mail carriers, over the past 15-1/2 years.

As for my life outside of work, I love being a wife (37+ years!), mother, and BeBe! I cherish spending time with family and friends (and am really wishing for Covid-19 to disappear so I can do a lot more of that!). I enjoy writing and reading, and am admittedly addicted to Facebook and Pinterest. My favorite vacations include Broadway musicals/plays - or mountains. My husband and I have nightly FaceTime visits with our 4 yr old granddaughter! And that is the best part of every day for me!

In spotlights from other businesses, I’ve seen employees give notice to their favorite quotes. My favorite one (which you’ve seen if you’ve gotten an email from me) is, “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” (Leo Buscaglia) Believing it to be true that any of these can change a day, if not a life, I try to stay mindful of it in and out of the office.

I hope you have enjoyed getting to know the JP2Way team a little better. While we are all different in many ways, we share a common goal of being a company that serves you well.
