To all our loyal followers and houseboat owners, I wanted to post an update as to conditions here at Lake Powell.
Because of Lake levels which are currently at an all-time low, the National Park Service has closed the launch ramps at Wahweap Marina to all Houseboat traffic. If levels keep falling, we might see a closure to all launch and retrieve operations, even personal boats and PWCs. We are hoping that this will not happen.
We at Laketime are working closely with the NPS, City of Page officials and anyone else that may be able to comeup with a soilution to low lake levels.
The NPS has promised to build a new launch ramp, extend exisiting launch ramps, uncover hidden launch ramps and so forth, but their information changes every day. you can check their latest information at NPS,gov and look at the the Glen Canyon Recreation Area pages for updates.
We urge all our owners to comment on their pages and tell the NPS how they feel about what is happening, and how it is affecting their enjoyment of Lake Powell.
Although none of us have control over lake levels, we hope that the lake will remain accessible to the general public so they can enjoy it's beauty.
Because of the circumstances we are immediately changing our Office Hours at Lake Time until further notice:
Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
If you need to urgently contact us, you can call my personal cell-phone at (928) 640-0772.
Sincerely, Margi West, Lake Time 1 (800) 572-5701
