A little Jamaica mixed in with all the Disney, Universal and cruise planning around here. 🌴

I’m working on a Sandals Caribbean Cay vacation for a client for next summer, and I realized I don’t share enough of these kinds of trips.

If you remember Sandals Royal Caribbean, this is its next chapter. The resort has been completely reimagined and is set to reopen December 18.

The private island is still part of the experience, but there are some new things coming too - a new beach club, bigger pool, new dining and some pretty amazing overwater accommodations.

Sometimes the perfect vacation is a park. Sometimes it’s a ship. And sometimes it’s just a beach, a little sunshine and a drink in your hand. ☀️🌴

Thinking about a Disney trip during hurricane season? 🌴

I know that can make some people a little nervous, but I wouldn’t automatically cross those dates off your list.

Hurricane season runs June through November, and while September is typically the peak, that doesn’t mean you’re going to have a rainy or ruined vacation.

I’ve traveled to Disney during hurricane season, and I’d do it again. You just need to know there’s a possibility the weather could affect your plans and have a little flexibility.

And there can be some pretty good reasons to travel during these months - lower crowds, fall fun and sometimes some great resort offers. 🍂

So would I tell you to ignore hurricane season? No.

Would I tell you not to go to Disney because of it? Definitely not.

Happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸

One thing about Disney… there is ALWAYS something being changed, updated or built.

Walt Disney said:

“Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.”

And you can really see that every time you visit the parks. There’s always something new coming, which is exciting - but it can also be a little disappointing when you find out your favorite attraction is closed during your trip.

The good news? Knowing ahead of time makes a big difference. I’d much rather know before I get there so I can adjust my plans than show up and be surprised by a wall where my favorite ride used to be. 😆

That’s one of the things I keep an eye on when I’m planning Disney trips for my clients. If something is closed or construction could affect your plans, we can figure out the best way to work around it.

August was a BUSY one around here! Between getting the kids back to school, band season starting, senior year for the twins 😭, work, and everything else going on, I’m not quite sure where the month went!

There are also some pretty exciting trips coming together for my clients - a group of family & friends sailing together on Royal Caribbean’s Jewel of the Seas, a Princess Alaska cruise, a family’s first Disneyland trip, and several Disney World trips, including some really special anniversary and Christmas trips. ✈️🏰

And now I’m looking at a VERY busy fall!

At the end of September, I’m heading to Universal for a special agent training and experiencing Halloween Horror Nights for the first time. If you know me, you know I am TERRIFIED of anything scary, so this should be interesting. 😂

October brings Epic Universe After Hours and, of course, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party… one of my favorites! 🎃

Then in November, I’ll be back at Disney World for agency training and the Signature National Conference.

I’m really excited to experience some new things this fall and have lots to share with you along the way!

Happy Back to Hogwarts Day!🧙‍♂️🏰

September 1st always makes me want to be in Hogsmeade.

I mean… you walk in and see Hogwarts sitting up there, hear the music, look around at all the details, and it’s hard not to stop for a minute and take it all in.

And if you’re visiting for the first time, don’t just rush through Hogwarts Castle to get to the ride! The queue for Forbidden Journey is actually one of the coolest parts. You’ll see Dumbledore’s office, the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, the moving portraits, the Sorting Hat and so much more.

And if you don’t want to ride? You can still go through the castle and exit before the ride. Just ask a Team Member where to go.

So… since it’s Back to Hogwarts Day, I have to ask:

A client surprised me yesterday with the sweetest gift from her garden. 🥹

Fresh vegetables, homemade pickles, flowers and a Trader Joe’s gift card. I mean… how sweet is that?!

I’ve been a little MIA on here lately because life has been BUSY - work, kids, band boosters and all the things that come with this season of life.

But this was such a thoughtful surprise and honestly made my day. I’ve always said that my clients become so much more than just clients, and this is one of those little moments that reminds me how lucky I am to have the people I do. ❤️
