Listen for the fighter jets flying over! We hear them a lot at the cabin and they sound like they are coming through the house! I wish we had been at the top on the tower when they flew over! So cool!

What a fun day exploring God’s beautiful handiwork, surrounding ourselves with nature and hiking to the Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory! The views are just amazing!

Norm’s hard work paid off! He’s spent many months putting in these steps, when he had time or when the weather cooperated! They look so good and access to the creek will be much better for all of us! Great job, Norm!!!

Norm’s been working on the fire-pit area and steps as gain today! Maybe by summer it will be complete! I css as not wait to enjoy this beautiful outdoor space!

Yesterday’s warm weather and sunshine was God’s way of giving us a glimmer of hope for what’s to come! I think we all needed it! 🙏

I cannot wait to sit on this porch and enjoy warmer days surrounded by God’s beauty!

We’re getting a little closer every chance we can get and we had our first fire in the pit last night! There’s so much more to do and some of it won’t be finished until next year but hard work pays off! Norm and others have worked so hard in this fun place for us to gather!

Josh and Norm did a little more work on the fire pit area! The railroad ties on the front by the creek were installed and a couple on the bank for steps! The rock wall is also beginning to take shape! It’s so much work, especially lugging those rocks up the hill from the creek, but it will be worth the memories we will make here! Thank you to our great neighbors for your help as well!

The fire pit is 99% complete and all of the concrete is poured for the rock wall! We hope to have the pea gravel and some of the rock wall complete by Thanksgiving! Teamwork makes the dream work!

It’s a gorgeous day and we’re making a little more progress on the fire pit! I cannot wait to enjoy this spot and just take in all of God’s beauty around us! We are so very thankful for this little slice of heaven on earth! 🙏
