Born in Campo Alegre, Hula, Colombia, Marcela has practiced her craft from an early age, and is therefore able to successfully combine her experience and vision. xhibiting extraordinary skills with the needle,even at the tender and impressionable age of eleven, Marcela was selected as part of a team of teen aged sewers to learn the elaborate delicate trade of evening gown wear. While studying English in London,Marcela began designing and making sophisticated yet affordable dresses and gowns for friends and classmates. With the arrival of the New Millenium,this success had evolved into a prelude to the launching of her International career.By 2003, Marcela joined with Gayden Fashions of London,a company that specializes in the private sales of the World's leading designs in haute couture
With influence from the expertise of Industry veterans,and the beneficiary of experience,while procuring prized designs, fabrics, and accessories throughout Europe.During 2010,and with the return to her native Colombia,Marcela inaugurated her official fashion line under the brand name Marcela Greene.The primary ambition as proprietor of her own highly fashionable boutique in Bogota, was to design and retail her own collection.With a unique eye for fashion,accompanied by technically gifted sewing skills,and now with newly acquired administrative and marketing disciplines, Marcela was forging her path. A significant milestone in this progress was the opening of the flagship Maison de Couture in the prestigious shopping district of Worth Avenue in Palm Beach.
