Founded in 1565, St. Augustine, Florida, is known as the oldest city in the United States. Less than 30 miles from Anchor's Landing, it's an excellent place to spend the day. Some of our favorites are Potter's Wax Museum (known as America's first wax museum), Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, Whetstones Chocolates, St. Augustine Distillery Company, San Sebastian Winery, and St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum. There's also Trolley Tours, great shops, and excellent restaurants. We discover something new each time we visit.
