Gran Canaria Beyond the Fairways - what makes a golf trip great for you?

Many Europeans know Gran Canaria as a classic 7-day golf escape with 5 rounds of golf. All of our European groups used to travel that way as well.

Over the years, we have been fortunate to experience this beautiful island far beyond its golf courses — and that changed the way we see Gran Canaria.

One of Evelyn's most memorable experiences was a wine dinner at Bodegas Bentayga, home of Agala wines and considered Gran Canaria’s highest winery. it is set around 1,300 meters above sea level in the island’s dramatic mountain landscape.

The setting, the views, the local wines make any tasting or dinner unforgettable.

🇲🇦🏰 Elite’s CEO Evelyn Gruber has just returned from her most recent tour to Marrakech, where she experienced the destination’s latest developments firsthand. Marrakech continues to impress with its high quality golf, unique blend of culture, design, hospitality, and refined resort living.

One of the standout discoveries from this visit was The Oberoi Marrakech — now Evelyn’s new favorite hotel in the city. That is not something she says lightly. After experiencing thousands of hotels over the past 30+ years in international golf and luxury travel, it is rare for a property to truly surprise her — but The Oberoi managed to wow her multiple times.

The architecture is fascinating, inspired by traditional Moroccan palaces and brought to life through elegant courtyards, intricate details, water features, and beautifully framed views of the Atlas Mountains.
