Our world is ever-changing as we live on a precarious sphere not exempt from the perturbations of astronomy and it's geological consequences.

I am THANKFUL for the geological epoch we are in called the Holocene, a small temporary warming period between our recurring ice ages lasting at least 150,000 years!

For a brief period of maybe 20,000 years, Seattle emerges from a mile of ice. And, Portland stays well under the confluence of the vast rivers of the Willamette and the Columbia.
