Budget is currently completely sold out of minivans for the entire summer season. We are also sold out of the compact manual station wagons. The largest vehicles we still have for summer rentals are SUVs for maximum of 5 persons. While planning your travel itineraries, we suggest you keep in mind it is harder to obtain one way rentals bringing cars from the north of Italy down to the south. Locations are wanting to rent cars returning to same location faster and easier.

Italy has reopened to fully vaccinated tourists and the car rental industry is struggling to keep up with the recent demand. Many car companies were forced to sell their fleet a year ago due to Covid 19 bringing travel internationally to a halt. Now they find themselves scrambling to obtain new cars to replenish their fleet while tourists are returning to Italy. We suggest you reserve your car early, prepay it and obtain an International Driver's Permit to avoid any problems upon pick up of your vehicle. Car Rental Italy is ready to do its best and get you a rental car to met your travel needs.

VILLA SPINOSA WINS THE “BEST OF WINE TOURISM” AWARD IN THE “ARCHITECURE E LANDSCAPES”.
Among the seven categories in the competition, Villa Spinosa from Negrar di Valpolicella has been awarded for "Architecture and Landscapes": "for having turned the nineteenth-century manor house, adorned with the romantic Italian style garden, into a place of sharing, welcoming visitors from all over the world without neglecting the link with the local community”. The other awards go to: services for wine tourism, art and culture, innovative experiences in wine tourism, sustainable policies in wine tourism, and finally for food and accommodation. The third edition of the international wine tourism competition "BEST OF WINE TOURISM", managed by the Chamber of Commerce of Verona, has selected the best Veronese wineries and wine service companies, which distinguished themselves for the quality and the commitment of their_tourist_services. The award ceremony, which took place in the past few days in front of the representatives of the entire wine tourism and wine business sector as well as of the township institutions, was held after a year of evaluations and inspections on the 61 Veronese companies that submitted the contest. The prize for Villa Spinosa was collected by Enrico Cascella Spinosa, who took the opportunity to express his thoughts about the world of wine tourism, with a heartfelt exhortation to limit the breaking up of institutions and tools dealing with communication and development of Veronese wine tourism. " I believe in this initiative. - commented Enrico Cascella Spinosa - Verona is a place rich in history, tradition and culture. We all did a lot to increase wine tourism. Now we need a kind of director coordinating the activities of institutions and single companies ". His strong sense of belonging to the Valpolicella territory and the awareness of living in a landscape without equal made him say further: " This award is a prestigious recognition to the Valpolicella and to our business: it is a statement of the constant commitment of all people working in the company to maintain the architectures in the village of Jago, where Villa Spinosa is located, and protect the hilly landscape of the Valpolicella, drawn by enchanting vineyards and rich in history, culture, tradition and authenticity “. He ended up with a wish: " I hope that our Municipalities will also feel the importance of these kinds of projects and be part of them, because it is important to be all together in the front line on missions where wine tourism is the protagonist, private operators as well as authorities! "

Bassano del Grappa is a city in northern Italy’s Veneto region. It's known for its wooden, 13th-century Ponte Vecchio bridge spanning the River Brenta. On the western bank, the Museo degli Alpini displays WWI artifacts. Frescoes adorn the walls of Bonaguro Palace. The Civic Museum has a large art gallery. There are sweeping views from the medieval Civic Tower. North is Villa Angarano, with Palladian-style arcades.

Well worth a visit while you are in Bassano del Grappa is The Poli Grappa Museum right in the center of town. It is located in a palace of the fifteenth century, in front of the historic wooden Bridge "Ponte Vecchio". The history of distillation and of Grappa is explained by means of a brief but detailed educational tour.

Beaches – Italian Style
Surrounded by water on three sides, Italy’s coast is an ideal destination for the beach-ready traveler and claims some of the most beautiful and unique beaches in Europe. Italians consider beach holidays a cherished tradition and flock to the coasts in late summer. If you are heading to Italy this summer Car Rental Italy can help you with your car rental and other arrangements. One of my favorite gems is this small beach cove in the town of Praiano. Arrive early as parking is limited. Plan to spend the day here and enjoy lunch at the little restaurant right on the beach.

Spiaggia del Principe, Sardinia
Principe beach (Spiaggia del Principe, also known as Portu Li Coggi), is one of the best beaches of Costa Smeralda. The beach is located near the small village of Cala di Volpe, between Romazzino beach and Capriccioli. About 800 meters away from the car parking areas (both free and paid), it will take you a good ten-minute walk along a rocky path before you’ll get rewarded and reach the white sandy beach, with its lovely clear water and ever-changing hues of turquoise. Principe Beach is divided by rocks in the middle that stretch out into the ocean, and is about 250 meters long in total. Principe Beach is a nice spot for snorkeling, as several species of small fish swim quietly in its shallow waters. A small bar serves lunch, ice cream and cold drinks. Spiaggia del Principe shouldn’t be missed by those visiting the Costa Smeralda, but it can get a little crowded in August, so you may want to go early.

One of my favorite Spa towns in Italy is Abano Terme Veneto Region just south of Padua. Personally I love the GB Thermae Hotels. The 5* Trieste & Victoria is located in the heart of the pedestrian area of the town. I have had the unique opportunity to try one of their recently completely renovated and improved Spa, the 5 Senses. I must say I am VERY impressed by this experience and I highly recommend it to all of you visiting Abano Terme.
This splendid 5 Senses is a place created to stimulate all five senses through a series of elements which surround you, first in a timeless atmosphere in a private space, which is warm and appealing, satisfying your gaze, then the delectable scents of eastern fragrances stimulate your sense of smell, the massaging satisfies the sense of touch, and the music which envelops the surroundings stimulates your hearing. At the end of the treatment you are given some flavors and drink that satisfy your taste.
This ritual has the charm of a centuries-old tradition. I have been told that it comes from an ancient eastern purification practice. In fact, the ritual was used to prepare for important ceremonies, including weddings, and was not just for purifying the body but also the spirit. You start by having your feet bathed in scented water and massaged by same scent of oil, your choice of two. I selected the roses. The products used here at the 5 Senses are totally natural and include: black soap, rhassoul and perfumed oils with argan and sweet almond bases. The black soap which is applied to the entire body first and is extracted from olive paste, was originally used for cleansing children’s bodies precisely because of its softness. 15 minutes of pulsing water jets of varying temperatures are applied on the entire length of your body while lying on your stomach. After the cleansing with black soap, the skin is left soft and bright. Then rhassoul, a specific clay from desert lands, is applied to the entire body. You proceed to a beautifully scented steam room where you lay down for 15 minutes and let the clay do its magic on your skin. After showering off the clay your skin is silky and polished. Then you may apply a special oil to your skin which seems to provide synergies combined with wonderful aromas. The cost of this 1 hour treatment is Euro 75.00 and you have the entire space within this Eastern designed space to yourself with you therapist. You have to try this experience to believe just how wonderful this is.
