“Oldies but goodies” A term coined by Art Laboe, a man known for bridging racial divides through music passed away at 97 (my grandfather’s age) this past October right here in Palm Springs, CA. I remember performing ‘Angel Baby’ for my 6th grade talent show (my Nana’s) favorite song. He kept La Raza alive and well and brought pride to La Cultura.
