Our guides do a whole lot more than lead the way down the trail. From keeping machines running to finding the best photo spots, spotting wildlife and making sure nobody goes hungry, they’re pretty good at wearing a few different hats.⁠

Start with wool or synthetic base layers and don’t forget a good pair of wool socks.⁠
⁠
We’ll take care of the rest! When you ride with us, we provide the winter gear you need, including snowsuits, bunny boots, warm mittens, helmets, and goggles for snow machine adventures.⁠

We think our enclosed UTV tour out to the Knik Glacier is pretty awesome, more importantly, our guests do too 🔥⁠🙌

“Had an awesome time on the Knik Glacier UTV tour yesterday!! The UTVs we went out in were enclosed, heated, and had Bluetooth capability for music. Each ATV had their own Walkie Talkie to communicate with the guides. Plus, the guides (Anna and Logan F.) provided plenty of snacks, c***r, and hot chocolate to keep you from getting hangry along the way😂.⁠

The guides on my tour were welcoming and you could tell they enjoy making the experience fun for their customers. There are plenty of stops to take pictures along the tour and they give you plenty of time (about 2 hours) to climb around and take pictures of the glacier. They also provide helmets, thick warm gloves, boots, and bibs.⁠

I definitely would recommend doing a trip with Alaska Backcountry!!”⁠

🔥 Will you join us for a heated UTV ride out to the glacier this winter? We introduced these heated machines to the fleet last year, and they were a big hit!⁠

Our guests braved some cold days riding out to the glacier in comfort and style, while getting to listen to their own music thanks to the bluetooth speakers 🎶⁠
⁠
Enjoy beautiful, snowy views, scenic stops to stretch your legs and enjoy a snack and hot drink, and drive onto the frozen glacier lake to explore. Be on the lookout for moose along the drive and have your camera ready to capture the blue ice!⁠
