Portions of South Pier Park Drive, LC Hilton Jr Drive, West Park Drive, and Front Beach Road will be closed this weekend for the Gulf Coast Salute Air Show. All vehicular traffic will be diverted in accordance with the map attached. South Pier Park Drive and LC Hilton Jr. Drive will be closed from 5 a.m. Thursday, May 2 to 5 p.m. Monday, May 6. West Park Drive will be closed from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 3 through Sunday, May 5. And portions of Front Beach Road will be closed from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 3 through Sunday, May 5.

We also have games and puzzles available for you, your family, and friends to play when you stay at our home. Also, we provide chairs, umbrella, beach bag, cooler, beach towels, and a few beach toys for you to use during your stay. For those hitting the ocean and waves this summer.

This is really simple. You can spot a rip current. Unfortunately, it's where it looks easiest and safest to enter the sea. This is because the rip current is looping around and pulling back OUT. Hence no waves rolling IN. NEVER ENTER THE SEA HERE. If you are already in the sea and get caught in a rip current (you'll know because you will suddenly be moved from your location and it will be impossible to swim against it) don't panic. Swim ACROSS, not against the rip current. For example, rather than trying to swim to shore while being pushed out, swim parallel to the beach and you will be able to get out. Then you can swim ashore. Please educate friends or family visiting the beaches this summer. Stay safe 🙏
