✈️ Let’s Talk Travel Insurance ✈️
☀️ Unexpected things happen. Flights get canceled. Weather changes. Someone gets sick. Family emergencies come up. Travel plans sometimes have to change at the last minute.
✍️But here’s an important reminder for travelers:
👉Your host is not your travel insurance.👈
.. and we mean this in the sincerest way possible, promise ... 🫶
☀️ When you book a vacation rental, you’re agreeing to the cancellation policy attached to that reservation. If something happens that falls outside of that policy, it should not automatically become the host’s financial responsibility to reimburse the stay.
Allow us to explain 👇
☀️ Hosts have expenses and commitments tied to every reservation. They may have turned away other guests, scheduled cleaners, prepared the property, and planned their business around those booked dates. When a guest cancels at the last minute, those nights can be extremely difficult—or impossible—to rebook.
👉 That’s exactly why **travel insurance exists.**
☀️ If your trip represents a significant financial investment, consider purchasing travel insurance that provides appropriate coverage for the risks you’re concerned about. Depending on the policy, coverage may be available for certain illnesses, emergencies, weather events, travel interruptions, and other covered circumstances.
☀️ A cancellation policy explains what the **host** has agreed to refund.
☀️ Travel insurance helps protect the **guest** when circumstances outside that policy affect their trip.
☀️ Before booking, read the cancellation policy. Before traveling, consider protecting your investment.
☀️ Because an unexpected event may be nobody’s fault—but that doesn’t automatically make it the host’s financial responsibility. 🏡✈️
