Hawai‘i Cruise Fee Update (Quick Breakdown):
Hawai‘i recently passed a law proposing up to a 14% “green fee” on cruise fares for days spent in Hawaiian ports. The cruise industry pushed back, and now the U.S. Department of Justice has stepped in, calling the fee unlawful. The case is still moving through the courts, which means 2026+ cruise pricing could shift depending on the outcome.
