Today begins our final week here. I’ve been hanging photos and curtain rods and towel bars so often I can do it now without reading the mounting instructions! I just put together a closet shelving unit and sorted thru the mountain of Amazon packages that arrived today! I’m capable of more than I thought…but man am I tired! I took a two hour nap yesterday and still slept fine at bedtime!...

I have just added some teaser photos to the House Details page. It's been a big day! Feeling very inadequate to handle this all...Ted was VERY patient with me tonight and I'm hoping I'm on the right path financially now! Came across some AMAZING pool loungers today that I will get a photo of in the morning. I'll also post a picture of a homemade latte served poolside! You have simply GOT to come here to experience it for yourself! The sun has shone EVERYDAY since we arrived!

Well we have come so far and had had so much further to go! We are nearing the end of week one here and I’m glad we’ve given ourselves a month! Trying to not get discouraged with the progress made and instead just trust it will all come together in time. We continue to sleep on the ground BUT we have leather recliners to work on during the day!...

Just wanted to show you our poolside breakfast. It is 82 degrees and that will be our high today. The pool is 81 degrees of wonderfulness and the melon is a Florida Grown Treat! The fish represent my sweet family that this home will reflect.

Well it’s ours….kinda….hahaha…we still share it with the bank. We found out at 11am that we were set to close at 3pm on Friday. We went to the house for our final walk thru and then we were surprised with the ability to unload the van and just relax at the house until closing. Our realtor paid for us to close with a notary in our local town rather than driving to Destin which is about an hour away!...

So closing is on, oh wait no it’s not….. Closing is on, oh wait no it’s not… Lather, rinse, repeat…. That pretty much sums it up folks. At this point we are here until at least tomorrow morning and maybe even longer. Hoping to know more tonight. In an odd twist of events, I have actually come to peace with a delayed date....

What a roller coaster the last 36 hrs has held!! Yesterday started with finding out that the insurance company we had signed up with was forced to shut down so we had like 6 hours to find a new company, get a new quote, sign up, get it all finalized and a new declarations page sent to the lender. Without that document the closing would be delayed....

I have finally decided on which channel manager to help keep track of my listing across many different calendars. Wow what an undertaking that has been! Under the Book Your Stay page you can see the system. I’m interested in working out the kinks on it! Thankfully our daughter is in QA at a software development company so she’s been quite helpful today....

Yes, I know I sound like a 6 year old...but are we there YET? Someone said how quick this process has been, I literally laughed out loud as the days seem to be creeping by for me! Oh, don't misunderstand me as saying "I'm bored"...I've been cramming as much as I can into every single hour of every stinkin day...but they just seem to keep coming day after day and I'm not on the road yet to my Florida House!...
