Turtle nesting season starts May 1st and runs through October!

Several ways you can help the sea turtles:
🧡Keep lights off at night - Artificial lights disorient hatchlings. Use turtle-safe red flashlights when out on the beach at night.
🧡Clean up - Remove trash, beach chairs, and other obstacles that can trap turtles or block their way.
🧡 Fill in holes and flatten sandcastles - These can trap or block hatchlings.
🧡 Avoid disturbing nests - Stay away from marked nests and never touch a hatchling.
🧡 Report sightings - Call local turtle patrol or authorities if you see a nesting turtle or hatchling!
