As our community continues to navigate limited access to downtown businesses due to ongoing road construction, we at House of Henry want to take a moment to speak from the heart.
Our fellow small businesses need your love and support now more than ever.
We fully support the progression of our city and the revitalization efforts following Hurricane Michael. Watching Panama City grow into a thriving destination is something we all take pride in, but growth doesn’t come without growing pains.
Many of our downtown businesses are experiencing challenges they never could have anticipated. These aren’t just inconveniences. They are real impacts to livelihoods, teams, and dreams built with hard work and heart.
We encourage our community to lean in during this time.
✨ Make the extra turn.
✨ Take the short walk.
✨ Choose local, even when it’s less convenient.
Your support matters more than you know.
It is also a time to extend grace and patience. Behind every door is a team doing their best to adapt, adjust, and continue serving with excellence, even when circumstances are tough.
What many don’t see is that some business owners may be using their personal savings just to keep the doors open, pay their bills, and take care of their staff. They may be navigating internal challenges brought on by decreased revenue. These pressures can weigh heavily and, at times, dampen even the strongest entrepreneurial spirit.
The reality is, a very small percentage of local merchants and retailers own a small business as a hobby. For most, this is their livelihood, their investment, and their passion.
Hurricane Michael left its mark on this city, but what it also built is a community that shows up, stands strong, and supports one another through every season.
Let’s continue to do just that.
Because when small businesses are impacted, we all feel it, and when we support them, we all rise together. ❤️
