Most memorable trip of the month: early December is one of my favorite times to visit Vegas!

🎄🤠✨ It’s just as much of a party as always — but with festive lights, over-the-top holiday decor, and cowboys everywhere — thanks to the National Finals Rodeo and Cowboy Christmas.

This year I went with my girlfriend and we packed in the best mix of classic Vegas, rodeo events, and great off-Strip finds:
⛲️ Stayed at Bellagio () — their Christmas displays are something!
💃 Dinner + a show at Mayfair Supper Club ()
🎥 Saw Wizard of Oz at The Sphere ()
🎁 Shopped ‘til we dropped at Cowboy Christmas. I couldn’t help myself again this year and came home with another Stetson from Cavender’s ()
🤠 Didn’t make it to a live rodeo event (maybe next year) — but watched several from the bars!
🤩 Headed off the strip to Town Square Las Vegas () and discovered: 🍸 Nukha () for creative cocktails and 🌶️ Tamba () for seriously next-level upscale Indian food
🥟 Finished with bottomless dim sum brunch at Hakkasan ( at )

If you want Vegas with extra sparkle, amazing food, and all things Western — early December is it.

🏛️ The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao — Frank Gehry’s titanium masterpiece on the banks of the Nervión River. Opened in 1997, it transformed Bilbao into a global art destination. Inside: contemporary icons. Outside: a living sculpture of curves, light, and reflection. ✨

Honestly worth a visit even if you’re just driving through and can just walk around outside!

🇪🇸 One of the best meals I’ve had anywhere in the world: Casa Marcial in northern Spain!

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ — hidden up a windy road in the mountains of Arriondas, Asturias (in the tiny hamlet of La Salgar) — is not at all where you would expect to find a 3-Michelin star and green-star restaurant. 🌿 Once a family farmhouse, it’s now the canvas for Chef Nacho Manzano (alongside sister Esther, sister Sandra in dining, and nephew Jesús) — a family operation since 1993!

This meal was one I’ll remember for a long time — endlessly creative but never showy, rooted in Asturian soil, sea, and tradition. Think zero-mile ingredients, wild herbs, river fish, mountain produce — all brought together with clarity, heart, and a fierce love for place.

💵 Even with that level of cuisine, we left for just around $500 per person (that’s including several bottles of wine).

If you ever find yourself anywhere near Asturias, do not skip this one. 💚 And if you’re ever having me help plan your vacation for you — expect these kinds of stops!

✨ Just 25 minutes outside San Sebastián lies the charming fishing village of Getaria — a coastal gem with history, wine, and seafood packed into every cobblestoned street. 🐟🍇🌊

🏰 Old Town Charm – Narrow medieval streets, stone archways, and a harbor that feels like a postcard.

🥂 Txakoli Wine Country – Rolling green hills above the sea where vines grow almost vertically. A glass of crisp, slightly sparkling Txakoli is a must here.

🐠 Seafood Paradise – Grilled turbot, anchovies, and other just-caught fish served right on the port. Honestly, some of the freshest seafood in the Basque Country. 🔥 PRO TIP: MUST HAVE A RESERVATION FOR A WEEKEND LUNCH OR DINNER.

🍽️ There’s even a Michelin star restaurant here! Needless to say, needs reservations.

💃 Birthplace of designer Cristóbal Balenciaga (with a museum in his honor).

📍 You can get here by driving, taxi from San Sebastián, or a very affordable, comfortable, quick bus that runs back and forth regularly.

🇪🇸✨ San Sebastián is proof that good things really do come in small bites.

Welcome to the heart of Basque Country, where pintxos aren’t just snacks — they’re a way of life. It’s the perfect foodie destination!

🍤🍷 Picture it: hopping from bar to bar in the Old Town, grabbing one or two pintxos with a glass of Txakoli (the local sparkling white wine) or cider at each stop. No reservations, no fuss.

🥖 Think anchovies stacked with peppers, jamón on crispy bread, melt-in-your-mouth croquetas, grilled octopus, and so much more. The great part is you get to try a bit of everything!

🍮 Don’t forget some basque cheesecake that the end!

👉 Swipe through for pintxo bar highlights + a taste of Basque culture that will absolutely have you planning your next trip here.

Fun travel tip: One of my favorite things to do when visiting a new city is to Google locations of some cool murals — and even better if they have the name of the city on them!

📍 Bozeman, Montana (duh!) — at the corner of Peach & 7th Streets.

🌼 Fun detail: if you look close, you can see my new sunflower tattoo matching the sunflowers on the mural!

🫶 Thanks to — who now lives in Bozeman — for showing this to me!

🇲🇽 Puerto Vallarta is a favorite destination of mine in Mexico, especially staying in Old Town / Zona Romántica, instead of the resorts. It was a perfect holiday getaway for NYE in the middle of cold USA winter!

👗 Also, is especially awesome for renting clothes for vacation — like off-season summer items in the middle of winter! This dress is a favorite of mine to rent there, and I think it fits the destination perfectly!

Took a break over the holidays — so merry belated Christmas everyone! 🎄 The one short trip we DID take this December was to Vegas, which is always magical, holidays included. As always, we stayed at the — and their holiday displays are spectacular! So I just had to showcase those here.

Also, fun fact we discovered: the National Finals Rodeo is in Vegas every year in December — and it’s the perfect time to visit! Not only are you surrounded by chill cowboys and cowgirls (evident by the Stetsons and boots the minute you get off the plane), but the events are super fun to watch in person or on TV, and Cowboy Christmas is basically the best showcase of 350+ Western vendors in one place. I even got myself a Stetson! We will 100% be back next year — who wants to come with?!

Did you know… The Minoans were an advanced Bronze Age civilization that lived on the island of Crete (now Greece) around 3000–1100 BC. The sophistication of their culture is mind-blowing — considering the Parthenon wasn’t even built until 447 BC! And fun fact: they didn’t self-reference in any of the writing that’s been found, so we don’t actually know what they called themselves. We call them the Minoans because they were ruled by King Minos (later portrayed in Greek mythology as the king who built the labyrinth to trap the Minotaur).

📍 Knossos Palace outside Heraklion in Crete is a partially-restored archeological site that gives us a glimpse into what the ancient Minoan palace looked like! There’s plumbing, murals of people in silks, air circulation systems, and all sorts of items you would not expect to see at this time!

🇬🇷 Part of the Plaka neighborhood below the Acropolis in Athens, Greece is a hidden gem of a village called Anafiotika — with tiny curved “streets” (including the narrowest one in the city), lots of stairwells, and beautiful views. It’s absolutely worth visiting, but be quiet and respectful — as people do still live in this residential neighborhood.
