Encompassing six counties (Conway, Johnson, Logan, Perry, Pope and Yell), the region is rich in heritage and culture with museums ranging from antique cars to prehistoric civilization. Arkansas’s major wineries are located within the region and offer public tours. 🚗🎬 Take a drive through a little piece of movie history this Labor Day! (Info 👇)

The 7th Annual True Grit Trail Drive is happening Monday, September 7, taking you from Dardanelle to Fort Smith along a route inspired by the classic western True Grit.

Bring your classic car, hot rod, or favorite ride and join the caravan for a scenic road trip through the Arkansas River Valley, ending with a tour of the U.S. Marshals Museum.

📍 Start: Merritt Park, Dardanelle
⏰ Departing at 10:30 AM
🚗 Destination: Fort Smith
🏛️ Includes U.S. Marshals Museum tour

The Arkansas Goat Festival returns to Perryville on Saturday, October 3, bringing thousands of people and plenty of four-legged celebrities to town for one of the quirkiest festivals in the Tri-Peaks Region.

And when we say this festival is all about goats, we mean it.

🐔❤️ THANK YOU for another incredible Mt. Nebo Chicken Fry!

From the Chicken Fried 10K to the chicken dinners, Model T rides, pie auction, chicken p**p bingo, and all the fun in between, we loved seeing so many people come together on Mount Nebo to celebrate one of the River Valley’s favorite traditions.

A huge thank you to the volunteers, sponsors, vendors, organizers, and everyone who made the trip up the mountain. You’re what keeps this tradition going year after year!

And because it’s never too early to start planning...

📅 Mark your calendar for the last Saturday of August 2027!

We’ll see you back on the mountain for another year of chicken, community, and Mt. Nebo tradition. 🐔🍗

Camp Mitchell has called Petit Jean Mountain home for decades, but there’s something especially memorable about this spot. Surrounded by more than 600 wooded acres, the chapel feels quiet, secluded, and completely removed from the rush of everyday life.

It’s the kind of place where you sit down for a few minutes... and suddenly realize you’ve been there much longer than you planned. ❤️
