Here is a collection of of Fox's Dock Bar over the years. We do not know who is in the photo or the exact years so please feel free to tag anyone that might have a good story or memory of Fox's. We do know that one of the pictures is from 1991. We would love to see any old photos you have of Fox's, as well.

WHAT'S YOUR FLOAT PLAN???

The 43rd Annual Parker Tube Float is happening June 12, 2021!

Here are some useful hints, tips, and some really good advice for this years float.
MAKE A FLOAT PLAN: Know where you're meeting up before, and where you plan to end up after the float. If you find that you want or need to leave the group for any reason (like someone getting too tipsy, or heat exhausted, or maybe they're just really boring). Just make sure that someone knows where you are and that at least one responsible person who is aware of your plans!!!
Tube Float weekend can be full of all kinds of on-the-fly activities besides the float itself...you may reunite with old friends, make new ones and find yourself in unfamiliar surroundings. Keep in touch with your responsible person(s) and check in where ever you may find yourself. Do you have a "Float Buddy" to float with? We suggest at least one. 💁‍♀️💁‍♂️ If they're being some-kind-of-way and don't want to go with you, make sure they know where you are and can find a way come get you if you need a ride...

Make sure you have your:

LIFE JACKET (REQUIRED)
FLUZZLE TUBES and other inflatables
BEVERAGES (WATER IS YOUR FRIEND, REMEMBER THIS)
SNACKS
HAT
SUNGLASSES
SUNBLOCK
A WATER PROOF CELL PHONE CASE (AQUACASE WILL BE ON HAND WITH THOSE),
WATER SHOES ARE BETTER THAN FLIP FLOPS! You go to Spanky's or Walmart and grab something functional instead of flip flops (which are NOT very practical for this event) for the . This is still the Colorado River, and it's still a mighty force of Nature but every year, many Floaters can be seen walking/hobbling along Riverside Drive and the only thing covering their feet is a sense of regret. And why? Because they came in flip flops...

Make sure your watercraft has all necessary safety equipment on board. Did we Mention LIFE JACKETS?

KEEP IN MIND THAT CELLULAR SERVICE WILL BE CONGESTED ON FLOAT DAY AND (likely for) THE ENTIRE WEEKEND and especially on the Parker Strip.
A new tower is coming, but for this year's event, we will strongly urge you to Remember those important numbers!

Your ice chest does work well as a trash bag if you find yourself without one. But there will be PLENTY available when you get to La Paz County Park on the morning of June 12. Republic Services is providing PLENTY of space for your waste at the beginning and end points and throughout the route . Anywhere you see the Republic Services Logo is where the garbage goes. Please - Do NOT leave any trash in the River or on the shore.

You could consider bringing oars and/or flippers to help you navigate the waters. There will be Assist Vessels through out the floating boundary of of the event, but its a really good thing to be prepared.

In tomorrow's Post, we will outline more tips and advice that will help guarantee A Very Safe, Fun, &Successful Float. Stay Tuned.
